Emma has said that she loves to travel, that one of the best things of being in the Harry Potter movies is getting the chance to go places she’s never been. Well here’s your chance to show Emma why she should visit your country or city! For this year’s birthday project we are making a picture book of places around the world using pictures taken by you, her fans. We would like you to send us your pictures from your country. Pictures that show its beauty. Pictures that show what is special about your country. Pictures that show what you love about your country. 🙂
Rules:
- The pictures should be about places. Like a beautiful landscape or a city, or even a building. They can be from the countryside, or in the city. It’s ok if you or other people are in the picture, but the picture should be about the place, not the people.
- You may submit up to 3 pictures from your country. You may also submit up to 3 pictures from a country you’ve visited. So up to 6 pictures total.
- Please identify each picture with a location, and short description. For example, “Eiffel Tower, Paris, France”, or “Ayers Rock, Australia”.
- Include a short paragraph explaining why you like the place and what it means to you.
- The pictures must be taken by you, and by sending them to us you are giving us permission to use them in the EW.net World Picture Book. The pictures do not have to be new.
- The pictures should be digital images, or high quality scans. Please send the pictures as email attachments, or links to image hosting sites.
- We will not be able to use all the pictures submitted (it’s a book, not an encyclopedia 😛 ) so think carefully about what pictures to send. Only the best and most interesting will be included.
- The deadline for submitting your pictures is March 5th.

Yeah..!!! That's a really interesting project, and in this way we will get the chance to learn more about other cities 🙂 I can't wait to send mine. Greece is really amazing, the city of the Gods… ov, what was the last years project, i can't remember it coz, iwasn't involved in emmawatson.net as i am now… 😛

To Karinaki: last year, we sent an iPod Nano to Emma, an iPod which was filled with all the fans' favourite songs. It was a very successful project, organised by Jo, the former webmiss of ew.net. Emma even said a letter saying that she loved it! 🙂
OH RIGHT…yeah remember that! That was, lovely, but this project, is really interesting too, and certainly deifferent than any other gift she will have ever recieve! 😛

Uh, i can't wait to show Emma Latvia! I hope that my pictures will be chosen, but even if they will not, it's still a great project, hope the result will be visible… thnx dook, and everybody else! and karinaki, you're right, she won't receive something like that elswhere, she couldn't possibly, 'cause a traveling book wasn't made specially for her! yeah, that must be one of the nicest things about being famous: you get tons of presents on holidays!!!!

yeah, we here in Latvia had a spring-like winter, mid-cold, stunted grass everywhere, lots of rain… luckily a couple days ago it finnally snowed, and now there's a snowstorm 😆

Wow, that's a great idea! I was only wondering… Can it be a panorama image? You see, I live in Finland and I'd like to send in pics of all four seasons we have here – because in many places they only have like two or three. And since you can only send in three pictures, I thought I'd put them all together so that it would only be one picture. But if that's not allowed, it's okay. I'll think of something else.<) I could go to Helsinki to take some really neat pics of the capital!
The birthday project is a great idea! I agree with Sarah, Canada is beautiful with snow. I am going to send some good pictures, Canadains watch out, because once she see's the photos, she will be coming here! 😆 😛
Karinaki, yep, it's snow 😉 normally here's snow during November-March, but this year snow came later than it usually does. 😡 Here's right now -10°C, and it's not even cold! 😛

Tina, we didn\'t say no in the rules, so yes, I guess you can put pictures together. A panorama of 4 might make the pictures rather small when printed though. Maybe 2 of 2 pictures.
