Bad news guys. According to this article Emma did NOT sign for the next two Harry Potter movies and the WB confirmed it. Right now, we don’t know anything else, so stay tuned for any update.
Even if this is the end of an era, Emma has to know that we respect her decision and that we’ll support her no matter what. She doesn’t need to play Hermione for us to love her.
EDIT: OK, I’ve just been told by many people that “News of the World” isn’t exactly the most reliable source out there (I didn’t know it, because I just didn’t know “News of the World”, it doesn’t exist in France). So don’t panic, it may just be another silly rumor. Let’s wait for something official from the WB 🙂
UPDATE: according to CBBC Newsround (which is quite more reliable than The Sun or News of the World), nothing is signed yet but a spokesperson for Warner Bros said: “We’re extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven.”
So let’s just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best 🙂

News of the world is probably the most un-reliable papers its a tabloid(For less educated people. they said them selves)so i would wait for Emma herself to confirmed it because they have made up story and pictures(Cough.. Iraq… cough)so they can make money so don't believe things from the press plus i believe in Emma and i know she will make the right choice for her but the films would look weird with a new Hermione so i hope she stays even if to just continue acting in the film

So, it wouldn't surprise me if she did quit the HP films. But having said that, I would really miss seeing her as Hermione! Whether she goes or stays, I wish her ALL THE BEST!!!!!!
Sure the news is all over the Internet, but they're all quoting the News Of The World article, and not all of them are definite. Mostly they say that she "reportedly" isn't signing on for the last two HP movies.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is certain she will do the last two Potter movies, despite reports claiming she told film bosses she wanted to quit. A spokesperson for Warner Bros., who make the films, told Newsround: "We're extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven." And while doing interviews for the fifth potter film Emma has said she's sure she will film all seven stories. I just found another article saying Emma will quit from the New York Post. (New York, USA). If you read it, don't believe it. They got all their info from News of the World. and New York Post never gets anything right.couple years back they got the results of the presidential election wrong. I live in New York City and no one trusts the Post.

🙂 Yes! I am so hopeful now, that Emma will be back for HBP and DH. It wouldn't make sense at this late date for her to be worried about being known as "the girl from HP" since that fact is now written in stone. That will always be with her. It's what she does in the future to branch out that will determine if she is known equally well for other roles. I believe she will be a great actress. ww 🙂

Emma has always been the last one to sign up. But now she has her education to think about, among other things, and I'm sure during negotiations with WB, she will be wanting assurances that filming will work around her studies. Of course we will all be sad if she leaves, but it's her life, and we have to abide by whatever decision she makes. One thing's for sure, it won't be about money. 😛 N.o.t.W. is another crappy tabloid, and until WB makes an official announcement, I wouldn't believe what they just printed. But we can expect it soon, as they are filming later in the year, and if she is leaving, they will have to get their skates on looking for a replacement.(Unless they've already started :wink:)

At this point, I don't know what to believe about Emma signing onto the next two movies! I really love her as the role of Hermione, and probably wouldn't like the movies as much if she weren't in it. But which ever path she chooses, I support her either way!!!
