Hey Emma fans,
As you all know, Emma went to the Empire Awards 2008, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London today. Being EW.net’s “event correspondent” (cool title! 😛 ), there was no way I’d miss the event so I went as well and here’s my report to you.
Emma was cute as a button, there’s no other way to describe her! Unfortunately, she was a bit late so she didn’t sign many autographs and went directly to do some press. The good thing is that she was interviewed right in front of me so I got to film her. You can watch my video here:
Also present were Jason Isaacs (who didn’t sign many autographs either, though he clearly wanted to – sorry for the bad quality of my pictures), David Yates (this was the second time I got to exchange a few words with him and he’s an absolute doll: I told him that I loved Girl in the Caf

She looks absolutely gorgeous,though(I think,its my opinion) that her dress looks a lot like the one she used @ the burberry & vanity fair party,just that this one is more like white.But her face in the pics that where posted,OMG,she is like an angel. So are you going to upload this to ou youtube account? because I wanted to whatch one of your videos the other day and it says that the account is suspended,is this true? will you get another one?
😆 Thanks for sharing Neve, Emma looks absolutely gorgeous, so sad she had no enough time to sign, but anyway! You could be next to her again! Did she get any award btw???? I was, also, expecting to see Daniel and Rupert, what about them? Did they attend? 😕
To Mike: yes, our YouTube account has been suspended so I'm afraid you'll have to download the videos to watch them. To Lui: no, unfortunately, Daniel & Rupert didn't attend. And I think that David Yates is the only one who won an award tonight 🙁

I found out that David Yates won as a best Director (I still can not believe that!!) but anyway, sometimes things happen in a weird way… Dont worry Neve, Im so sure you will be able to see Emma again in a better way you did last year. I think you were so nervious this time hoping something like happened to you at NMA event, werent you? Courage!!! So many fans are grateful to you because of this new video, in spite of you couldnt reach her. We are still waiting for more new amazing Emma pics from that event. omfg i cant believe how emma every single time she looks better and better and better and BETTER!!!!! and wow.. i think is the first time that emma didnt take the award! i think one of the advantages that emma has is that she is NATURALLY beautiful so anything she wants to wear is just STUNNING on her, and that's not something that you can say of every actress, and emma with or WITHOUT makeup is just beautiful! waht a lucky girl!!!!

Well, hopefully it is all fixed tommorrow. Even though she didn't win, Emma looked very beautiful and happy. Her being happy is what really counts. 🙂

Andrew, I live in central london, so it's not a big trek for me …. I'm in Mayfair almost every day so walking over to the awards wasn't that big.

😛 it was worth it 2 go thru nearly 12 hrs of work today,2 c emma's lovely lovely dress…face..shoes..bag…makeup..bla bla.. 😉 :wink:why din she win?!urghhh…. n whr is dan? good yates won.. 🙂
When I first looked at the pictures I thought Emma looked great. She has fantastic shoulders and breast bone for a strapless piece and it really brought out her face and hairdo (which I loved) but upon closer inspection it became clear that the shoes did nothing for her. They were too chunky and made her legs look stubby (not like those high heels she wore during something that made her legs look long and beautiful) and even though she's 17 now she doesn't quite have enough girls to fill a dress like that. Remember being a teenager and looking back on your worst fashion mistakes? Social and Peer Pressure I think puts us into outfits that arent and flattering as we first think they are. For Emma, this is one of them.
