About JK Rowling and Hermione (2007): "JK Rowling based the character on herself, so obviously she will have had a very strong idea of how she would develop, but maybe I have played a small part in the way she is growing up. It would be very flattering if I had. But I think that naturally I am so like Hermione anyway. J K Rowling has been really lovely and very supportive of the films - she comes on set and she is in e-mail contact with a lot of us. She just said to me, "You are Hermione, you have completely become her," which was just so nice and so generous of her.'"

Calendar Competition // 17 April 2008

Ok, let’s get started on the May calendar competition!

  • The size of the calendar should be 1024×768 or larger
  • Calendars must be in a common graphics format such as jpg, tiff, gif or png.
  • It must have Emma-Watson.net and May on it
  • Your calendar should be in by the 28th of April.
  • No more than 3 entries per person please.
  • All entries must be sent to emmawatson.graphics@gmail.com
  • If you use hotmail or msn, please attach the picture to your email as a FILE, not a PICTURE. Choosing PICTURE will shrink the image to a small size.

    Is this true: Harry Potter heroine Emma Watson is attached to star in the period romance Napoleon and Betsy, replacing Scarlett Johansson, who was deemed too old for the role. Watson, 18, will play Betsy Balcombe, a young, impetuous noblewoman trapped on the isolated British island of St Helena who falls in love with Napoleon, who has been exiled there. Johansson, 23, is still serving as a producer and the indie project comes from writer-director Benjamin Ross. Watson is known for her role as Hermione Granger in Warner Bros' Harry Potter films and is completing filming on the sixth instalment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. ???
