Emma was interviewed on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour with Jane Garvey. They talk about working on Tale of Despereaux, her relationship with Chanel (she is NOT the new face of Chanel, are you listening major media?), and her future plans. She will start at university in September, but she does not intend to put acting on hold completely, saying there is time during breaks to do smaller films. Thanks to Danielle for the tip.

Can somebody explain one thing? She said she would study English in England, but what she is going to study in the USA?
Catherine: If she goes to uni in the States, she said she will study Liberal Arts, which will make it possible for her to wait until she is a junior before declaring a major. I'm guessing it would probably be English literature, which seems to be a main interest for her.

Well, those radio interviews are most interesting, especially Edith Bowman and Woman’s Hour with Jane Garvey. She explains a lot (she´s not the face of Chanel, but she loves their clothers, she went fly-fishing when she was much younger, she´s on her gap year now, she´ll go to University starting September 2009, she has not decided yet in which country, she has a thirst for knowledge and learning, she might do smaller independent films during the university holidays, she loves acting, and she might do Napoleon & Betsy in 2010).

You've got to hand it to Emma. She is a REAL trouper! The amount of effort she has put into promoting this film is really quite extraordinary. She seems to be the only one doing it. I haven't seen any clips of Dustin Hoffman or Robbie Coltrane or Matthew Broderick or anybody else from the film doing any TV interviews or anything. There probably have been some, but I haven't seen them. But Emma is everyplace. She takes her work very seriously and works very, very hard. Great girl! I'm in love! 😛

no problem hiltje, i think that that's what she said, but i'm pretty sure about it. And yes, it is disappointing that they aren't really that close, but i think that's normal. If they would see each other outside the Harry Potter world, i think they wouldn't have time for family and friends so, it's understandable i think ^^
