The article is a good read too, but it’s the Daily Mail so take it with a grain of salt. Emma talks about the kind of clothes she wears and how she’s not into the party lifestyle that is so popular with other celebs her age. She also discusses her desire to continue acting, and at the same time, continue here education.

the photo's were amazing, as usual. but was it just me or did the interview sound a tad bit fake. like the part about her not wanting to be an actress? what happen to the mattress joke interviewers used to ask? (you wanted to be a mattress when you were younger…only because she couldn't say actress)…i'm sorry it just wasn't truthful to me, some of it just contradicts what she's said before. but i loved the no getting drunk part!!! that's self respect right there!
What a GREAT interview and the pictures are STUNNING! 😛 😛 😛 @mandy, I don't know where she contradicted anything she's said before. I'm glad they didn't ask her to tell the "mattress" story again. I've read it so many times, I know it all by heart. Emma talked a lot about herself in this one and that's always interesting. I think she had always questioned if she wanted acting as her career. Now she seems to have decided YES. Sounds like "Ballet Shoes" may have helped her decide. I'm VERY HAPPY for her. GOOOOO EMMA!!!!! 😛 😛 😛
mandy, well, it is the Daily Mail. They certainly aren\’t concerned with being truthful. Some of the article seems dodgy, some of it seems like just old quotes they dug up, and some of it may be real. The pictures are the best part.

WOOOOOOW!!! That is all I can say, the pictures are amazing! She looks so gorgeous and sexy! I'm happy she's not one of those young celebs who can't wait to show their skin at a very early age. Emma's 18 now and she can look sexy but not trashy! I just love her!

This interview contradicts things that Emma has been saying for years. Stuff like "I always wanted to be an actress but I never wanted the fame" and variations on that, the mattress thing," I took any chance I could to show off"( she said this of herself referring to her time pre-Harry Potter in a Ballet Shoes interview). As early as 2008 she told the mattress thing again. So which is it? Were you a seven year old showoff who told your grandmother you wanted to be an actress or are you somebody who never even thought about being an actress until luck dropped it in your lap? which is the lie?

Emma looks STUNNING as usual. Truly beautiful woman. 🙂 Alex, maybe you missed what dook said. Twice it was made clear that the article is from the Daily Mail, once in the actual update and again in the comments. So take it with a grain of salt, rather than "demand" that Emma tell you "which story is the lie"? Ask the Daily Mail that question, though they would probably tell you the lie is the truth, then later contradict themselves when Emma says otherwise. The tabloids recently have been claiming that Emma and her family didn't watch films until she got casted, yet in interviews she has mentioned watching tons of Disney films such as the Little Mermaid when she was a kid. So the Daily Mail probably threw that in as a continuation of that rumor, even though it isn't true. But that isn't to say the entire interview is false. It could be like the Telegraph interview from last year in which they DID interview her, but threw in some false quotes afterwards as Jo later revealed. Though I was surprised to see an Emma interview with the Daily Mail in the first place. So we will probably have to wait and see if she says the same things in future interviews with more credible sources.
Whoops I mean the Telegraph interview from 2007, not last year. Forgot it was 2009 for a second lol.

Didn't know the Daily Mail is a tabloid! The more I hear, the more I wonder how much of this interview actually happened. I really liked the article. It's such a nice portrayal of Emma, something that tabloids don't generally do. It's disappointing to know that most, if not all of it, probably didn't happen!!! Why would they print such a nice story if it's not true??? Don't they make their $$ by printing trash??? I am VERY CONFUSED!!! 😡 😡 There are so many papers printed in the UK. Some of them must be reliable. Does anyone know which ones?? 😕

I live in London so I can clear up any misconceptions about the newspapers. Although The Mail is a taboid, this article appeared in a magazine that comes with the newspaper on sundays. This magazine is respected and all the interviews with the stars are exclusive as well as the photographs. So to be honest, i reckon that its safe the trust this interview. Just thought i'd clear that up. Apart from that, its inspiring to hear that someone so beautiful and intelligent has got her feet on the ground and is strong minded to make her own decisions. We love you Emmma! 🙂

With tabloids, I can never tell if an "interview" is actually an interview, or them taking random quotes throughout the years and putting their own slimey, tabloid spin on them. Then again, we all probably see Emma as some close-to-Angelic figure, lol, and when I saw the "one solitary F-word" thing I was like… No way! Not Emma! But now that I think about it, you'd be very hard-pressed to find a single 18 year old who doesn't swear at least once in a while. Especially someone under the amount of stress and pressure the celebs are. I'm gonna try and not idealise celebs from now on, even Emma…
