Emma has designed a jacket on behalf of the AFI Dallas International Film Festival for a charity auction to fund the fight against AIDS. Emma’s jacket along with jackets by well known designers will be shown at the DIFFA/Dallas 20th Anniversary Collection: Utopia Preview Party on March 31 at Union Station in Dallas. DIFFA/Dallas presents preview party for Dallas Collection ’09: Utopia
The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS: DIFFA/Dallas presents the DIFFA/Dallas 20th Anniversary Collection: Utopia Preview Party on Tuesday, March 31, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Dallas’ historic Union Station.
The event offers the public a first glimpse of the 2009 Jacket Collection to be auctioned off at the Hilton Anatole Hotel on May 2.
Dallas Collection and the preview party will feature jackets by nationally and internationally renowned designers such as Michael Simon, Geoffrey Henning, Tadashi, St. John, Lela Rose, Kenneth Cole, Emma Watson for AFI, Tory Burch, The Muppets and costume designers from “Desperate Housewives,” “Heroes” and “Ghost Whisperer” and more.
Chef Wolfgang Puck will provide the food.

I love Emma's jacket too! She did a beautiful job! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I remember Emma was asked recently about her involvement with charities. She said something like she was looking into them and would choose something she really believed in. She didn’t want to just attach her name to a group and not get really involved. Well, I think she made a great choice. Fighting against aids is a very worthy and urgent cause. WELL DONE ALL AROUND Emma!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
don't get me wrong, i love Emma, but i think the jacket is seriously and honestly UGLY. i doubt she'd ever wear it.

I think the jacket is nice. It looks like it was made for spring which is coming soon so that's a plus. While it is a nice jacket that I would like to see on other people I couldn't really see my self wearing it.

The preview / media party is tonight or tomorrow night depending on your time zone. The auction however is May 2nd.

I just can't find any reason for her or in fact for anybody to leave the beautiful UK and especially London to go to america? sorry americans, but i'd never do that…besides, she has the most world-wide-known and best universities in her own home-city!! Oxford!! and then there's Cambridge.too…who'd want to leave that and go to america?? not that the states don't have great unis and great cities….but it's LDN!!! i really hope she stays… 🙂
@ Hermione, at one time, I was certain Emma would choose Oxbridge over an American university. Harvard and Yale are truly elite schools, but Oxford and Cambridge are the most renowned universities on the planet. But I learned something from Emma about British schools that I didn’t know before. In her last interview she said if she studies in Britain, she has to choose her major right away. You don’t have to do that in American schools and Emma said she likes that idea (I may have misread what she said, but I think I got it right). I agree with you about Oxbridge. If I had been offered a spot by either one, it would have taken me a nanosecond to say YES. But Emma seems to have different priorities and she may wind up in the US yet. BTW, what does “LDN” mean?? 😉
No offense to those living in the UK or the US but Emma should choose whatever's the best university for herself and only herself. This is her future, so whatever she feels best, I'll back her 100%.
