Filming at the Shell Cottage location continued today in Pembrokeshire, Wales. New photos show Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint in one of the most heartbreaking parts of the books. Poor Dobby. Sorry about the tags. I’ve also added a few more pictures from yesterdays filming.
How sad for Hermione. Is that suppose to be a cut on her neck from when Bella cut her with a knife. Poor Dobby and Harry. It looks like Ron is crying too. But where is Luna and Dean.
omg…i luv her:) its a sad scene….but well…:P we have the same sunglasses 😀
IS IT JUST ME OR RUPERT IS LOOKING REALLY HOT IN THAT GROWN UP FACE OF HIS??????????
😕 I don`t know…. maybe that`s because I´m not a girl. 😆
RUPERT GRINT IS GORGEOUS!
:razz:ok, ok … if you say so 😛
Honestly, how can I get anything done, if they keep spoiling the last two movies like this and I have to download all the pictures? 😉 Hermione sad is really heartbreaking again. 🙁
She looks so cool in the 5th and 11th picture! But the 11th is just heart breaking…
Dobby was so annoying. I was happy when he was killed. Harry Potter is like Star War. The most important and interesting character is the evil one (Well, In fact i like Albus Dombledore too, specially in the last book). Is really funny. This kind of police line, Emma´s sunglasses, Dan´s earphones, the people surrounding: looks like a cheap crime scene from a bad detective movie.
I love looking at these pics from the set, wouls love to watch it as it happens! They all look at lot more grown up in these pics.
is that dobby? oooh i cried when he died :S wasn't harry supposed to be alone? i know it cannot be exactly like the book haha I HAVE TO WATCH THAT MOVIE!!!
dan looks a little chubby eh? or is that just me?? 😕
Emma really looks like she's crying while holding Dobby before setting him down to be buried. 😥 I am so going to cry when we see this scene!

:smile:Emma's really cute!!!
Man, I seriously hope this is just rehearsal or something because what the heck, they just changed one of the most touching and critical parts in the book–in the whole series! Where is everyone else like Dean and Luna, why is Hermione wearing a coat when she's supposed to have just escaped death and be wearing Fleur's dressing gown, why is she even carrying Dobby? This was supposed to be an important moment between Harry and Dobby, with Ron and Dean also taking part–let's face it, as much as I love Emma, Hermione's character is not supposed to interfere in this scene!!
Mima, Im with you. What you mean 'heartbreaking scene FROM THE BOOK?? where in the book did Hr carry Dobby, heck, she never even met the dude! 😡
Scene isn’t the right word. This part of the story, the part where Dobby dies and they say goodbye, that’s the heartbreaking part. And perhaps you need to re-read some of the books. Of course Hermione met Dobby.
T_T
It must be pretty hard, filming, while people are taking picrures of you and all. But still I think, they should have made this scene how it was in the book. I dont mind them changing other things, but…you know, I loved Dobby, and I think Harry digging the grave was very moving. It should be like that.
Who's the grils she's hugging?? Do we know her from the movie!! And I think this scene is going to be beautiful anyway!!! They can't screw it up THAT bad!!!
cute:)
This is pathetic… this scene is supposed and considered to be the most heartbreaking scene… 😡 😥 but after looking at these pics i don't think it will be that heartbreaking… I should be a rehersal …. i mean when did hermione pop up between harry and dobby…..and she also cannot stand on her feet( ron supports her sort of) but this looks like she is perfectly ok….. :sad:this isn't the proper 'dobby and harry' scene… 😡
AND.. she never holds dobby… 😕 and harry is supposed to be in grief.. i bet this is just a rehersal. (lets hope so)and it is supposed to be dawn when they go on digging…but this shows that it is a bright sunny morning 😆 anyways…lets hope this scene is something more than what we r thinking it would be…. 🙁
Guys I can all see were you's are coming from, I just hope that this doesn't mean their cutting out the bit at malfoy mannor because I thought that was also a heartbreaking moment in the book and also a great opertunity for emma to show her VERY GOOD acting skills . But at the same time, the change has obviously been made for a reason and I don't think we should get too upset until we've actually seen the movie. Danx
You know i find it funny how this website doesn't like a picture of emma with a camera up in her face privately but we can be up in her face when she's working!
Sometimes HP book purists really do get on my last nerve! We’ve been thru these RIDICULOUS complaints about the films not being true to the books SEVEN TIMES now. For goodness sakes, these books have been ADAPTED for the screen. The films are NEVER going to be entirely true to the books. Don’t you get it by now??? And now that you’ve seen a shot of Hermione carrying Dobby, are you going to boycott DH?? OH PLEASE. ENOUGH ALREADY! 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡
dook, I apologize for losing it, but I’m really tired of all the whining. On one of your sister sites, the purists have come out in droves complaining about what they‘re seeing or not seeing in the latest pictures. It’s ridiculous.
What`s that on the ground in front of Emma on the last pic in the gallery? A dead bird? She`s either very soft-hearted … or she knows when the cameras are looking.
I hope it`s the former. 🙁
From a story on Leaky, I think it is an interesting piece of driftwood that caught her eye. I really like that photo for some reason, even though it looks a little sad.
Cherrybomb lookes really good. Rupert Grint is staring in it 🙂
That thing has feathers. And yes, she looks sad. I like that picture best of them all. She`s not actually working at that moment, nobody`s telling her what to do next…so this is probably the closest we can get to the real Emma.
Look, I accepted that they'd be changing the stories for the movies a looong time ago. What I'm saying is, I don't see why they would deliberately change the characters in a scene, and more importantly the character relations, in such an important moment in the whole series. We all know Hermione is crazy about house-elves, so she wasn't even in this scene til the end. The scene was supposed to show Harry's immense gratitude for Dobby, and it's where Ron starts to realise how important house-elves are–setting up for the famous Ron/Hermione kiss at the end of DH! And why they would make this huge change when it doesn't even save them time or money since they are including the scene.. just a totally different version of it. Anyway, like hope of change said, it's the wrong time of day and Hermione's in the wrong clothes so let's hope it's just a rehearsal. Thanks for posting the pics.
130671, I don’t think so. Here is a quote from Victoria, who took a photo of that moment also, “Emma was walking up the beath after filming with the other cast members and walked past some drift wood. as she did, she stopped, took a few steps back and removed her sunglasses to have a really good look at the piece of wood on the shaw. “
Ok…that makes it the one piece of driftwood I`d like to own. 😛
I didn't noticed that emma has so many freckles?! That's sooo cute. Maybe we can't see them cause of all the make-up she normaly wears in public….?
@Mima, I don’t agree at all that having Hermione carry Dobby is a huge change. In the book Hermione does come out near the end. It’s not like she never appeared at the burial. And I don’t understand why you think this takes away from the importance of this scene. IMO, it doesn’t change the poignancy of Dobby’s death in the slightest. I sobbed so much when I read this part, I had to put the book down. I doubt I’ll be able to hold back the tears in the movie theater either. Having Hermione carry Dobby won’t make me feel any differently. I just don’t see that this change lessens the impact of this scene. And the wrong time of day? Why do you assume that when we see this scene, it won’t appear to be nighttime? So much of what we see in HP is computer generated. Why not this? And if it isn’t, so what?? We’re only talking about the time of day here! I’m sorry, but I’ve had it with the fan critics. This has happened every time we’ve seen behind-the-scenes stuff from filming. Why do so many HP fans assume they know exactly what we’ll see on screen after looking at a few pix?? We don’t know and unless we can get into David Yates’ head, we won’t. We’ll all just have to wait until the movie comes out. That’s fine with me!
pic 27 is awesome 😛
Great now i really cannot wait anymore….i NEED to see this part as soon as possible!…Emms look good as always and Wales…hmm nice…they have pretty beaches…but it doesn't seem to be that warm there in this part of year…all in all think it's good place for filming…wish then good luck…this is not easy job… :smile:nice job
A film is a film, a book is a book. Considering they left S.P.E.W. out of the films, I still like the fact that Hermione is more involved in the burial of Dobby than in the book. It is also a great trio moment.
That is true, leaving SPEW out was a big mistake if you ask me since it gets referenced to over the 5th, 6th, and 7th books. The reason I believe it changes the scene too much is because though we'll probably watch it as a heartfelt trio moment, fact is it's NOT a trio moment–it's an intimate Harry and Dobby moment, as well as a Harry-Ron-Dean-Dobby brotherhood moment. But it's definitely true that they might change to lighting in postproduction, I hadn't thought of that. It IS important though, because you'll recall from the books that just as Harry gives his little speech in Shell Cottage, the sun is just rising and Harry distinctly notices it. It's important symbolism in how the dawn represents a new beginning for the trio's journey, having lost one life but symbolising their hope for what's still to come. These details are important, if you ask me, even if they're downplayed by the movie-makers. But like I said, I get that they'll change some things… however for the sake of civility on this website it doesn't make sense to argue what should change and what shouldn't. I also agree that we can't know anything for certain until the movie's out.
Purists. *shakes head* 😛 I love that pic with Emma looking thoughtfully at that piece of driftwood.
I liked that last pic of Emma as well. As well as this new one in the Telegraph of her walking through the water: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/film-news/5321241/Harry-Potter-star-Emma-Watson-wades-through- the-surf-while-filming.html She looks gorgeous. And there are some other ones I saw with her holding a camera taking pictures. 🙂
KS987,can you please send that link again I cannot open this one… 🙂
No need to bother…I've found it 🙂
I don't think we should be worried so much …not until we have found it is the real filming or just a rehersal As danieele says.. we should be patient and we should encourage them for good progress I agree with u danielle 🙂
as fare as i can see she is not looking at the wood but the death bird beside the wood
http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=980&pos=1
There is no dead bird. 😉
