Emma Watson answers questions about Fair Trade fashion in two videos released today by People Tree. A contest was held back in December/January where people could send in video questions about Fair Trade and the winning questions would be answered on video by Emma. The winners were recently announced, and now the videos and Emma’s response can be seen in two parts, Part 1 and Part 2.

The videos were released to celebrate new summer styles from the “Love from Emma” collection which went on sale today.

We can also look forward to more from Emma next year. A little teaser on EWO says “Her relationship with People Tree continues as she collaborates with the company on their Spring/Summer collection for 2011”

Many of you have suspected that Emma Watson’s new official site would be opening today, and now we can confirm it. Jo let us know it is due to launch at 5:00 pm UK time, less than half an hour from now.  🙂

Update: If you haven’t checked out Emma’s new site, you don’t know what you’re missing. There’s a new photoshoot, more information about Emma, her film career and fashion projects, and a nice video message to her fans. There’s so much that I still haven’t read through everything. 🙂

Emma Watson turns 20 years old today. I know a lot of people have said it, but it really is hard to believe that so much time has passed since that first scene in Philosopher’s Stone. For 10 years we’ve watched Emma grow from an adorable child to an amazing young woman. She’s made it through the teen years, the downfall of so many child stars, with flying colors. Every year I am just more impressed by Emma and her values. Every year my respect for her grows. Another year older, another year better. I look forward to the next 10 years.

I hope you will now all join us in wishing Emma a wonderful Happy Birthday, and to put you in the mood, we have a birthday video kindly made by Chiara.

People Tree

We told you back in December about People Tree giving people the chance to send in video questions to Emma about Fair Trade fashion. They have announced that Emma selected her favourite questions, and that the video questions, and Emma’s answers, will soon appear on their website, “when new styles of the Love From Emma summer collection go on sale!”

You can vote for Emma in the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Emma is nominated in the Best Female Performance category for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. You can also vote for Tom Felton as Best Villain, Daniel Radcliffe for Best Male Performance and Global Superstar and Half Blood Prince for Best Movie. Voting closes April 9.

You can also vote for Emma in Time’s 100 Most Influential People poll.
