Emma attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York today. The “Met Ball” celebrates the opening of the “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” exhibition which opens on May 5. Emma was the guest of Christopher Bailey and wore a custom Burberry dress.

She was absolutely GORGEOUS yesterday. Yes, it was the best dress she's ever worn to an event and the accessories where on point! Loved the shoe's and the clutch; Chris realy hooked her up. That is his girl tho, lol. The hair(cut, color & style)was gorgeous as well. Love it!! I want that dress! It fits her perfectly, im totally crushing right now, lol. You guys need to reaquaint yourselves with Christopher Bailey (or atleast READ the post) That guy with her is the creative director @Burberry like dook said. 😉

her dress is beautiful. I wish I could have gone to the city just to see that. I like in NY and Manhattan is not that far away from me. Although I do not understand how Emma is going out at this time of the semester. I do not know when Brown's finals week is but most colleges have finals week sometime during May and then the semester ends. Well, if she has studied and went to HP premieres before then I'm sure she can still keep it up. 🙂

Let me make this simple: life isn't fair. Stop nagging on Emma for taking a couple days of off school. She's probably studying on her free time anyway. Plus, college really really isn't that hard. In many cases, it's much easier than high school because you're given so much more time to complete your work. Those who keep saying she should get back to school should stop being jealous. Just because life isn't fair, that doesn't mean you should take it out on the blessed. xo

Ha, I would hardly say college is easier than high school, especially Brown… I think what we really should be arguing is that Emma has proved she's a totally brilliant student, and that she CAN do the juggling act and might pull off a 4.0 or close, even with all the galas. Just remember that normal college kids are spending their nights at frat parties, and Emma maybe splits them half at frat parties and half at galas. All this being said, holy WOW WOW WOWZA she looks SO INCREDIBLE it knocks my socks off. Her makeup, her dress, her hair, it was AMAZING. No arguments there 😛

Lara I sooo agree. There are so many situations where college is easier than high school. I bet it's much easier for Emma in particular, because she had to get most of her high school education through tutors and self-teaching. College–even schools like Brown– oftentimes offer the same amount of workload as super competitive high schools. I went to a very prestigious high school, and the work I have at Yale is ten thousand times less stressful. Yep, I still have my moments, but, in the long run, the stress of being a 14-18 year old can never compare to the free time, partying lifestyle of American college students. Add on a full-time job like filming Harry Potter and I bet Emma finds her juggling lifestyle much, much easier. But that's just a hunch.
