About JK Rowling and Hermione (2007): "JK Rowling based the character on herself, so obviously she will have had a very strong idea of how she would develop, but maybe I have played a small part in the way she is growing up. It would be very flattering if I had. But I think that naturally I am so like Hermione anyway. J K Rowling has been really lovely and very supportive of the films - she comes on set and she is in e-mail contact with a lot of us. She just said to me, "You are Hermione, you have completely become her," which was just so nice and so generous of her.'"

It’s Been Magic!

The end of an Era – today is officially the last day of principal photography on ‘Harry Potter’ – ever. I feel honoured to be here as the director shouts cut for the very last time. Farewell Harry & Hogwarts, it’s been magic! x

I'm sad to have to say "good bye" to Harry Potter. I have grown up with it… with the films, with the books… I hope the last films will be great, to finish this by something huge ! (sorry, i'm french, so i don't speak a very good English :p)

  3. Joyce says:

Lou: Your Enlgish is very good, don't worry 😉

  5. Daria says:

come on, people, they are not dying!!! everything has its end. But we still will have movies on DVD. And most importantly, HP BOOKS!!!!

  6. 130671 says:

🙁 I`ll probably miss the promo-shoots they did for every new HP-movie…they couldn`t make her wear any silly or overdone costumes, and they couldn`t paint all over her face…and her freckles… 😥 And for anyone who wants to get really depressed now I recommend listening to Moby`s "God moving over the face of the waters"(either version)…

  7. Dawn_in_Malaysia says:

It really is a sad day. Nothing will be the same ever again. Nothing can compare to HP. It will always remain in our hearts. Cheers!

  8. dook says:

No, they are not dying, but one can still be quite sad. For Emma and the others, HP has been a big part of their lives for 10 years. It has also been an important part of their lives for many fans. The excitement, the anticipation of the next book, and finding out where the story was going, ended three years ago with the release of Deathly Hallows. But fans still had the filming process and the movies to look forward to. Now the thrill of casting rumors, seeing new location photos, or even the chance to see them filming is gone. But we still have the movies to look forward to.There will be excitement as new promo photos are released, new clips, new trailers, all leading up to DH 1 and DH 2. But in a year that will be gone too.Yes, we can still watch the DVDs and read the books, but the books and movies are only a part of what made Harry Potter so great.

Oh god, just reading these sincere comments to Emma and Harry Potter moves me so much. I fully agree with dook's point of view. 🙁 But then again, life goes on, I'm sure the theme park, movies, and books would be a way for the fans to relive the moments. Farewell Harry Potter and Hogwarts. 🙁

  18. Estelle says:

🙁 😥 Ten years and it feels really sad because everything is leaving including the best franchise ever who got me into reading. I remember the first time I saw HPSS I was 11 and got hooked to it now 18 years old and will be 20 when it's officially over. I'm not ready to say goodbye in November I'll feel emotional which is why I'm glad its in November we can hold Harry Potter a little longer. I'll miss Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Draco, Neville, Snape, Dumbledore, even the Dursleys ect. BUT JUST REALIZE FOR THE ACTORS LIKE EMMA IT'S NOT THE END THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. I love them all and good luck.

It's really quite sad to see the end of a whole era of film that was and still is beyond amazement. To have watched all those characters grow along side many of us into the knowledge and maturity of adulthood and to witness the moment when many lives change from one stage into the next. None possibly more so than Daniel, Rupert and Emma as they are now ending a whole decade of their lives to now start with their own further pursuits into the future. Thank you Emma, and to Rupert and/or Daniel also, for the decade of life lessons both within and beyond the films. It was a pleasure to age along side you, Emma, as I also hit the end of the teenage years. And to them and to all of the people who grew up alongside Harry Potter, both books and films, I wish you all well in the ending of this journey and good luck in the beginning of your "next great adventure." P.S. I'll be sure to thank you Emma as well as Daniel and Rupert when I become great in my own rite.

😥 Harry Potter will never die but i will miss seeing the movies and all my fave actors every year 😥 😥 I'm litterally shedding tears! We grew up with HP and the younger actors, they feel like family 🙁

  24. JenGambale says:

That must have been a day with a lot of tears for the cast and crew. Q__Q Fortunately for us fans, it won't be over til next year, when Part 2 of DH comes out. But that will be a very, very sad day. :'(

  25. dark_krasi says:

hey Emma is nominated for best actress at the teen choice awards 😆 but against Kristen steward…. I don't know after MTV' movie awards… It's so sad that everyone vote for Kristen 😡

  26. 130671 says:

This Emma vs. Kristen award-battle is getting boring. At some point, it`s not such a bad idea to move beyond "teen choice" awards… 🙁 It`s inevitable…

  27. Window says:

    Emma is the one 😉

  28. dook says:

Let’s not fight about HP vs twilight.

  29. VYACHESLAV says:

Emma always will be in my heart…

  30. l. says:

Dook: Do you have any contact with Emma's reps? Rupert Grint's fansite confirmed his appearance and Bonnie Wright's fansite confirmed hers via their reps for the opening of Wizarding World Park Opening. Have you tired?

  36. Niamh says:

Apparently Emma hosted a dinner party for the cast and crew at her house to give everyone a proper goodbye. http://perezhilton.com/2010-06-17-emma-watson-throws-a-goodbye-harr y-potter-dinner If it's true, that's really sweet of her don't you think 🙂

  37. Millie says:
