The Grand Opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is this Friday the 18th. Press events began today and will continue through the week. A number of HP cast members are attending. There is no official word yet about Emma, but it’s not looking good. She was not there at a press conference earlier today.
Two events will be broadcast live on the internet at this link. A Celebrity Preview, which is not open to the public, takes place later today from 9:30 – 10:00PM EDT, and then the Official Grand Opening ceremony is on Friday morning from 9:00 to 9:30AM EDT.

well think about it, emma just got home from college and probably is busy with family and friends and just being home. maybe she just couldn't make it.
The live feed was so AMAZING!! I seriously cried like a baby. I want to go so bad!!! It looks perfect and JK ROWLING WAS THERE!!!!! Emma obviously had other obligations, but it would've been awesome if she was there. I wonder if she will go to the public opening on Friday?? 🙂

Emma is not there won't be there.Her Puplicist did report it and emmaw.net wrote already about it.The Puplicist 's told Emma was already a few Weeks ago there and had a great Time,but won't go to the Grand Opening Maybe she just don't wanna go,what many are believe already.It's her Choice
Plus, she's been busy with university work, so I don't blame her at all.
and she did her Promotion already,so it's up to her wether she want to go or not and it seems she don't wanna go and want to stay away from the Spotlight,Interviews etc.She even said she won't do much in the Summer Anyway her Puplicist's said it,so it's official that she won't be there and is at Home in UK (she was seen there Tuesday and Wednesday)
Diana, you mentioned earlier that a private picture site claimed they spoke with Emma's publicist. Well, it's probably false, since I doubt Emma would allow her publicist to speak exclusively with a website that she doesn't like at all because they invade her private life. Emma will not be attending though, as Jo recently confirmed on the forums. However, she did not state the reason why Emma was not attending. She did already do the promotion, but I think it's mainly that she just finished filming and school and probably wants to spend more time with her family, whom she has been away from most of the time for months since she's been here in the US.
@Alyssa No I read that the Puplicit's said,she is not very busy at the Moment.They don't said the real Reason why Emma won't be there.But many are believe already,that she just want her Peace and more Time for Family and Friends now. She wil have a really stressful Time when the HP Time is again with Interviews etc and she said that the Premiers are freaking her out,so maybe she just want Peace in the Summer and Time for Friends/Family,before the HP Time.That is what many are believe as Reason

It's not just these Site who are writing that with the Puplicit's.Even Fan Accounts on FB wrote about that and about a E-Mail from someone of her PR Team,who told the same like the Puplicist's Well she won't be there and that's the Point and like I said,Emma said Premier's are freaking her out and that HP Times are stressful,so I really believe she just want Freetime and Peace. and Bonnie,Dan,Rupert,Tom,Twins,Matthew are there and they are doing a great Job there and Emma knows they can do it without her too,what they can.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been nominated in the "Best Future Feature" category at the 2010 NewNowNextAwards, which will premiere tomorrow evening at 10:00pm (EST) on the Logo channel. There will be a live chat at their site during the awards, and there will be a pre-show starting at 9:30pm. Emma is unlikely to be in attendance, but we may catch a glimpse of the new DH trailer at the awards if we're lucky! 🙂
Diane, the news about what her publicist has said are just a rumor, that´s not official. Otherwise believe me, that worthy information would be posted here 😉 I really hope Emma is OK. (…Emma, are you OK? This is the first time I don´t see you attend an important event, that´s why I ask… I wish I could know if you are fine… … only that :sad:)

Emma is okay.Why People believe she isn't okay,just because she missed a Event?She can't be everywhere.Even Dan and Rupert are not at all HP Events. Emma just don't want to go,can't you imagine that? I really think her Homepage should write something,but I don't think they will.But it's a official Homepage,so there should be written something like that.Sometimes her Homepage is not the best for me

They said that she was filming a movie. Sometimes the things the Today's Show says are questionable, so I think it's still a rumor.
