I think most of you know already that Emma had her hair cut a few days ago. Now Emma has posted a new headshot on her facebook, saying “I’ve wanted to do this for years and years; it’s the most liberating thing ever.” |
Update: Entertainment Weekly gives us a sneak peek at another picture of Emma’s new ‘do’ that will appear in their upcoming Fall Movie Preview issue. Emma talks about finally having the chance to change her hair style after 10 years of Potter. “Oh my God, it was the most liberating thing! The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it. I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through, I’ve wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, ‘Right. This is it.'”

I heard it`s an awful lot of work, too, just making long hair look normal every day, nothing fancy… So maybe that`s what she meant by "liberating". This style probably gives her another 30 mins. of sleep at uni each morning. Plus you don`t leave these easily identifiable long parts of yourself everywhere… 😉

@laura she must do promotion for HP,this is in the Contract,like TV Shows.These are Promotion too. This is happening with Rupert,Danieltoo.They must do Promotion for WB and HP the Twilight Cast must do it too,alltough they are doing more

Oh i am not talking about loving of course she likes them,:smile: but i dont know i just feel this. i see pic about the cast being together on private pics, talking about how they went here n there. And there is Emma. Seems she totally parted from them. Of course Uni is the first, she is the only one who seriously thinking about quiting acting( and even her role in HP). Maybe she just overhelmed that it came to an end, and it is easier to cope with the feeling if she parts herself. I mean she is promting now, didnt go to the wrap up party with the cast, nor was on the opening of the Park, altough she was there with the twins before. But i am afraid she wont promote Dh with the others, this is why she is touring now, cause the next semester starts, and propably wants to be in the uni, and just attend on the London and L.A premiers.I would be so happy if she would accept other roles also, trying herself out in other than noitalls:D I woud definetly like her see in a drama, or thriller. About her hairstyle. She looks exactly like her mum. i think she would be looking prettier if she has her hair longer, maybe like Meg Ryan's, i think her face is too long for this syle. and for those who doesnt like when people says they dont like it: we are free to express what we think, her dad doesnt liked it either. We dont want to force her, she is independent individual, it s like when your friends sasy their opinion about your new hair cut. You will get + n – too. Come on!
Emma never intended on quitting the Harry Potter films. That was just a rumor that tabloids made up. What she was doing was making sure that she would also be able to pursue an education while filming. She was initially unsure whether she would continue acting afterwards, but once she did Ballet Shoes she decided she wanted to act, among numerous other things. And she was at the wrap party. There are pictures of her there. It was the Daily Mail that claimed she wasn't, and they aren't very credible at all.
eww. i dont like it, i mean she is still goregous, but it doesnt fit her. her face isnt framed well

oh hope it is true Alyssa! But i read Kristen Stewart, ellen paige is also wants the role badly, and they have lot more experience, and kristens attitude is more similar to the mean character. But it would be lovely, if they would give a chance to her.

welllll, i preferred the long hair. but u know what, finally being able to cut your hair after basically not being allowed to do so for so long, rly must have felt awesome. and she looks pretty no matter what! i liked the comment about her dad 😀
Perez hilton is now confirming the rumor that Emma has auditioned for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" with director David Fletcher. Bet Daniel Creig wants her specifically after dinning with her and getting to know her. I had a feeling… being a gypse sometimes comes in handy. 😉

AS LONG AS EMMA IS HAPPY WE SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT SHE IS HAPPY WITH HER HAIR….and if people cant accept people for who she is..and wants to be ..then idk what to say for them..i dont think she looks like a boy. i think she is beautiful in every single way. she stil is drop dead gorgous and her hair cutt, it makes her look older also.

my first impression was shock. But then I read her perspective as to why she did it and I started to calm down 🙂 it's amazing how she can set so many people off. I would like to see her when her hair gets a bit longer. maybe I'll like it more. but then again who cares if I like it right? She had the guts to do that and she's not afraid to take risks. This should be another reason why we admire her
Emma said she cut her hair to experiment, and I'll take her word for it. While I'm sure she wouldn't be afraid to cut her hair for a role in the future as I mentioned before, she cut it this time simply because she wanted to. We will have to wait and see if Emma says anything or someone is chosen for the role, but it just seems like it was a rumored based on trying to "justify" Emma cutting her hair like people have been doing since she cut it(such as saying she shedding the Hermione image). I guess people can't accept the simple answer given by Emma herself.

Everyone does something in their life to themselves where they look back and go "why did I do that?" My friend crimped her hair all the time, I had my eyebrows so thin they were almost non-visible, and Emma did this. We all like to experiment when we're young, Emma missed her chance so she's doing it now. And soon she'll look back on it and laugh and ask herself why she did it, let her have her fun 🙂
