The Harry Potter film series will be honored with the award for “Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema” February 13 in this years Orange British Academy Film Awards. JK Rowling and David Heyman will be there to receive the award. Rupert Grint is also said to be attending, but no information on Emma or other cast members.
Emma said about the award, “This is a huge honour! I am so proud to have been part of the incredible team both in front and behind the camera that made these films. Thank you to Jo Rowling for writing such wonderful books, to David Heyman for shepherding us all through the past ten years and to all the loyal fans who have been with us throughout”
If you are having a feeling of deja vu, the Harry Potter films were awarded a special “Outstanding Contribution To British Cinema Award” at the 2006 Sony Ericcson Empire Awards.
Makes me darn proud! I love Harry Potter and Emma Watson so much! It’s a great honor knowing that I have grown up with this amazing story and these amazing people.
This is brilliant! It deserves that award, its a fantastic series and well done to emma because part of that award being won by this franchise is becuase of her fantastic acting skills in all seven films 🙂
Wonderful!! I’m so proud of them! They’ve worked so hard throughout this whole ten years. They deserve all the awards coming their way!! Let’s not forget that they still have a long way to go, who knows how many awards will they have won by then? It feels great to have been a supporter for this long, watching them grow up, watching them acting in different movies… One of these days, I’ll have a Harry Potter marathon… Sure does bring back the old memories.
Nice..! Great news to read! Without those guys I wouldn’t know who this Beauty is!!
Congratulations to the whole cast and crew!!
Well deserved!
They derserved much more… but great!!! 🙂
