About crying on screen in GOF (2005): "It was the first time that I've had to properly cry on screen. Actually, you know what, it's funny, I find it easier to cry but to laugh realistically... When they just say "laugh on cue", it's really hard not to make it sound kind of fake (...) But no, I did have to try to think about something that was really upsetting."

Deathly Hallows – The Final Shot

ABC Family aired another behind the scenes feature today during their Harry Potter Weekend. David Barrons talks about the last day of filming, the last shot of principal photography. The scene is where the trio dives into the fireplace to escape the Ministry of Magic. It was an easy green screen shoot, but a difficult day and an enormous moment.

“It was a very simple shot for them. We did it 2 or 3 times, and then suddenly that was it, that was the end of Harry Potter.”

Well, it wasn’t really the final shot thanks to the reshoots. But it must have felt really weird for them at the time, since the series they have worked on for a decade just sort of ended.

Emma’s dive was cute though. 😛
