About fair trade (2010): "I first started learning about Fair Trade fashion simply because I did a piece of geography course work on it. I thought why isn't everything Fair Trade? From that point I started to look for labels that were Fair Trade and started researching it. When I thought of Fair Trade I thought of bananas and coffee and I thought this was as far as it went. But, of course pretty much anything can be Fair Trade. My collection is very much based on cotton and jersey which all can be made Fair Trade and organic. It's so great to work with something that hasn't been made with chemicals and is helping someone abroad who isn't earning a lot of money. The great thing about these clothes is that they are comparable to high street prices so affordable but go towards a really good cause. You win all around."

Watson Weekly Issue 19

It’s been a long time since our last issue of Watson Weekly. We started with our e-magazine when the site reopened in 2005 and for a while we were good about putting out issues regularly. After a while it became less and less frequent. It was just too much work. I thought it was a good idea though, and I still do. So, I’d like to give it another try. We’re going to start out with smaller issues than we had in the past. I also want to encourage your participation. In the past, most of the articles were thought of and written by the staff. I’d really like to see Watson Weekly as a magazine from all of us. You can find out more about how to contribute in the magazine.

    Nice idea !
Can you remind us how to participate ? (like, must be in english, 2 full pages, sent in pdf, free subject… ?)

    • dook says:

It should be in English yes, since most of our audience can read English. It doesn’t have to be 2 pages. It can be any length, but if more than one page it should be full pages. If you don’t have enough text, use more or bigger pictures to fill. PDF would be good although some programs make poor PDF files. The subject is free yes, but if not about Emma, or related to Emma, it should be something of general interest to the fans.

Thanks for all those answers !!
Last question (I promise haha) : what about the english mistakes ? Will the staff correct us ?

        • dook says:

We can read through it and suggest corrections if you like. It doesn’t have to be perfect english. Mine certainly isn’t.

Watson Weekly? That last week felt like over 2 years to me. 😛 I’m glad to see you guys made another one and plan on bringing it back. I can’t believe the last one came out in 2009. It seems the past couple of years just flew by. I will try to think of some ideas for future issues to help bring it back. My guess is that it once again it won’t be weekly, but hopefully the gaps between each issue aren’t nearly as long.
