About how she heard about People Tree (2010): "I've been interested in Fair Trade for about three or four years now and one day I met a friend who was wearing a nice t-shirt and I asked him where it was from and he told me People Tree. I had never heard of People Tree before and he started telling me about the brand and he was also a friend of Safia's and so he introduced me. I was just really interested in it. I thought it was a really cool idea and when I met Safia we really clicked. And a couple of weeks later she asked me whether I would be interested in putting together a range for the people my age as a lot of the People Tree clothes were for 20 years and up. And I thought this was a really great idea as I don't think there is a huge amount out that which is Fair Trade or organic. I thought it was a pretty cool idea and I got to work straight away and we put together this range."

Emma in Harper’s Bazaar – Behind the Scenes Video

In this behind-the-scenes video from Harper’s Bazaar, Emma tells us “the idea for the shoot was to have two really contrasting looks”. For the darker side, she says the photographer had to keep reminding her to ‘Be a bitch, look hard’. She found the “innocent, pretty look” much easier, but added “It was really fun, I was able to play two different characters.”

    wow! This was….interesting. I like the bright look better but Emma looks pretty in anything though.

    Beautiful. I love the white outfits. I don’t really like her dark hair when she’s wearing the black dresses but I love the look of her natural hair. Stunning young lady! 🙂

    is this magazine only in UK or can we buy it here in the good old USA

      You can often find it in larger bookstores and newsstands in the US, either mixed in with US magazines, or an International section. It may take several weeks before it shows up though. You’ll probably find the July issue still on sale for a while. If you find a store that has it, keep checking back for the new issue.

    Emma may be playing two completely different characters, but she looks stunningly beautiful as both. Of course it’s easy to see why Emma found playing the “light side” easier than the “dark one”, as the former is closer to Emma’s down-to-earth personality. In the video you can see that even while dress up as the bad girl she’s dancing around and having fun. 😛 Once again great photoshoot with a cool theme.

    all these backstage videos show that she’s not a model, she’s an actress, she’s much more beautiful in motion. and in that she’s the best. her pictures don’t look as good. i see just a not-so-good model. her face expressions are the same, poses are not so good too, but, also it can be the fault of the photographer, for final pictures he’s chosen very average shots. i’m very dissapointed. during the video i saw much better poses and everything.
