See I told you guys that something should be coming soon from the play! ^^
Anyway this time we have a rumour, many of you have been emailing us about a possible new role that Emma could be playing, it came out on a US newspaper that Emma wants to play Bethany Hamilton (who was attacked by a shark on the US and lost her arm during the attack) on a film about her life.

To be honest I’m only posting this cuz I don’t want anyone coming and saying oh "where are the news?"

Well let’s face it that does not look like something we should trust. I think until we hear what WB has to say about that we should treat that as a RUMOUR. Cuz honestly I think it’s just another of those ‘Pink Power Ranger’ kind of rumour.

#5! Yeah I think that is definitely a RUMOR but it would be so cool to see Emma in a role outside HP. Bethany Hamilton is a really neat person though (and I love her jewelry line at Claire’s!)

Well, as nice as it would be to see Emma in different roles as well, I think this is definately a rumour. Of course, I’m hoping it’s not and I would be very happy if it wouldn’t be but I’m afraid it isn’t. Emma isn’t finished with Harry Potter movies yet, so… I guess we’ll just have to wait and see about this, won’t we? :smile:And hey! Where’s the Watson Weekly? O_o I’m anxiously waiting for it!!! 8D

OMG good for her!!!! if Em did play he role she’s have to dye her hair bleach blonde and fake an accent, but she can do it! i read Bethany Hamilton’s book and it’s AWESOME!

I too think this is nothing more than a rumor. I love Emma but she looks nothing like Bethany Hamilton and for that role they will likely cast an American actress.I do hope Emma does something other than Harry Potter so we can see the full range of her talent:smile:
It said Emma WANTS to play Bethany do it probally isn’t a rumor. the rumor is that she is playing the teenager. But it would be lovely to see Emma in a different role like Dan and Rupert have done. 🙂
yeah, Rupert and Dan have done so I guess it’s time for Emma. It’d be cool if she played another role but on the other hand I can’t imagine her outside ‘hermione’s-world’

Oops, I just found out that Bethany Hamilton is actually Hawaiian. So cool! I love that place. I can understand why’d Emma want to play her since they’re both of the same age. Still, she wouldn’t sound anything like Bethany…:sad:
But unlike the Pink Power Ranger rumor this is a story I can see Emma doing. She said if the script was good and it meant something to her than she would do it. This is an inspirational story and it wouldnt shock me if Emma signs up for it.
Oh and if you think the accent would be a problem your wrong. Americans fake British accents all the time in movies–that means British people can fake American accents too–that’s a stupid reason for you to think its impossible

What an abominably poorly written article. Don’t they make reporters pass basic creative writing classes? Disjointed sentences and poorly executed thought processes do not an article make. He seems so intent on not upsetting anyone, and yet has this vision of uncovering Bethany’s Celebrity Lust, it’s like the two are warring with each other for dominancy. I’m sorry, I wouldn’t believe a word this person says. I think my four-year-old niece would write a better article.

The pink power rangers is not a rumor. Someone gave me a tip that if u type emma as a superhero in yahoo and clik the 1st like, u will get the pic
