The movie that is.
Variety is reporting that Emma has agreed to play herself in a cameo role in End of the World, a comedy from first time directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. If true, she joins a cast including Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jason Segel and David Krumholtz all playing themselves. The plot? Franco throws a party at his LA apartment when the Apocalypse hits.
A comedy would be something new for Emma, and may be a nice break between the more serious tones of Perks, Bling Ring, and David Yates’ Your Voice in My Head, scheduled to start filming this summer.
I bet the Premiere is gonna be May 21th 2012.. 😛

if is true.than curiously waiting 4 emma’s act in comedy movie.
I think as a Cameo we won’t really see much of a acting, espicially if she is playing herself…

This sounds interesting. I hope that we will hear more about this in the future. As of right now, it all sounds like it is just a rumor. But I guess we just have to wait and see; and also hear from Emma what she has to say about it. 🙂

I didn’t really understood the meaning while researching.
A cameo is where a well known person has a brief role in a film. Sometimes they play themselves, or sometimes just an extra. An example, Peter Jackson, director of Lord of the Rings trilogy, appeared in all three movies as a minor character. Another example, there is talk that Paris Hilton has a cameo in The Bling Ring. She would be playing herself as the victim of one of the burglaries.

I hope we get confirmation from Emma soon. Though I wish it were a bigger role than a cameo, it would still be interesting to see her play herself in a comedy. 🙂
