I was surprised when she mentioned Barack Obama, since she usually doesn't talk about things like that, but it was very nice to here. But I am not surprised to hear that she is fond of him. (I wouldn't call a politican a hero, but he can't be any worse than George W. Bush, who failed at everything except dodging shoes). I bet she will be very emotional when Harry Potter is over. She has spent much of her life filming them. But I will always support her and I believe she will go on to have an amazing career after it is all over.

"Everything that has a beginning, has an end" and HP is not the exception. Sometimes I think she's going to temporaly leave her acting career 'cause shei's so interested in doing so many things in life that probably her current situation avoids her to properly achieve. Next year she's gonna be too busy… her future new UNI-friends are gonna be so lucky for having her so close… aren't they?

Forgot to mention a while ago that the e-card Emma and Desperaux made was cool. Lucky mouse gets to hang out with the gorgeous and sweet Emma.
Actually, lotsa people kitty kat, gee, 58 million or so voted against him? Maybe you wouldn't know that though on these comment threads since the closedminded hater moderators ban non Obamabots forever once they've posted, while KS987 gets to stay on after she generated abusive comments towards other visitors, which are then erased in stalinesque style. So, the rules (just below, see?) don't apply equally, that would be too fair! And democratic! Watch, this'll disappear soon. As, I said originally, (and it was all I said), it's just disappointing to hear an obviously brighter than normal actress like Emma buy into the whole lefty cliche about Obama, thinking it would be great cause of "the message he sends". But, unlike some, I'm tolerant, not a hater, and (obviously)like Emma and respect her right to her opinion. If she'd said John McCain was a hero/role model? (And, ahem, he actually IS!) Yeah, she'd be blacklisted in Hollywood by the "tolerant crowd", like the moderators here.

Great interview! I thought the questions the interviewer asked were refreshing and not like the regular derivative stuff the media asks. As for her answer that Barack Obama is her hero, I don't think that she was trying to make any sort of political comment. She's a brit so how can she be affiliated with an American political party? I think her choice of hero is wise and speaks volumes about her. Why shouldn't someone who has surpassed racial and societal boundaries not be her hero? "Lefty cliches" aside, he accomplished something great regardless of whatever part he's with. Good for Emma.
