I just thought I would remind everyone that Emma-Watson.net has a Twitter account. It’s a great way for you to get quick updates when we post new Emma news on the site. You can follow us at http://twitter.com/emmawatsonnet
This is also a good time to remind you that Emma Watson does not have a Twitter account. Any Twitter account you find that claims to be her is a fake. Don’t be fooled by how many followers a person might have, or any “proof” they might provide. Just ask yourself why would Emma have the statement on her official site that she does not have a Twitter, and then at the same time have a Twitter and tell people that it is her? The answer is she wouldn’t. We know EWO is really Emma, so obviously that means any Twitter account you find is not Emma.
While I’m at it, I’ll remind you of other accounts that Emma does not have. Emma does not have a facebook, or a myspace, or an orkut, or a bebo, or a… well, you get the idea. Emma has one presence on the web, and that’s EWO.
I hate Twitter….like what's the point of twitter? There's nothing on there! lol but I will get one for emma-watson.net because I'm a loyal fan who does that sort of thing 😛

Well it's still strange that Tom (and it's really him) is one of "Emma's" Followers… Maybe they should talk more on set. But orkut? Never heard of that before. Got to google it. xD
Someone should ask Tom why he is following a fake Emma.

Actually, I've heard that Emma has facebook, but she uses another name (which I don't know, and do not want to know either). I think people just should let her have a private life and accept they can't be friends with her (if that's what they want)!
I’m sure Emma has an email account. And she may indeed have a facebook she keeps private. But if you find one claiming to be her, it’s not.

emma has a facebook account (why not?), but is a private one for friends and family. you can say she hasn't got a PUBLIC one for fans and all that, but don't say she doesn't have one at all.
What´s the best way to deal against evil side of fame? Anyone knows? 😕 Emma knows now that she has less private life than before, and if she continues increasing her popularity by modeling or singing (does she really sing?) besides acting, things might become worse in future… 🙁 Going to study at Uni might help to stop a little bit this situation, but first weeks in school are not going to be easy to deal with. Imagine how you would feel if you could see walking around in YOUR own school? Such a dream come true! 😛 And sometimes it´s very easy to loose control. Many people would want to reach her, running, screaming, I dunno how, and that´s gonna be, perhaps, an unconfortable moment to her. Emma has to decide very well how to deal with her increasing fame is she really wants to continue her acting & modeling career and, of course, to get back her private life as she had it before becoming so popular. Well, maybe I´m overreacting myself, I want to believe that, in the end, everything´s gonna be fine. 😉 So, what do you think? Will she be able to go to Uni and continue performing an acting and modeling career almost at the same time? 😕 I know she can do it but that´s gonna be so stressful, don´t you think? 🙁 Sorry for this long post 😛

well i can answer you at that 🙂 the way to deal with fame is just ignore all paparazzi's and just be your self for the rest and ofc its also hard because so many ppl expect so much more of you, it can be kinda hard and frustrated some times to be honest.. but ells its oke i think im still me like i have always been : i haven't changed at all.. but hard and fun and also you have to watch out what you are doing cause you never know who is looking at you. so fun, hard and careful.. hope you get your its get your question answered 🙂
Y'know, I'm not sure about that EWO announcement. I think it's quite possible that they made a fake announcement on EWO so scary stalker-type people don't go looking for her on Twitter. Plus there are people who follow @mwtsnx and chat to her (and whom she chats to) as if they are real-life friends… things like "so are we gonna do something for our birthdays" or "we have to catch up next time you're here" and stuff like that. Would her real friends be sucked into following a fake Emma? And if it's a fake, then it must be someone from the HP set because they have posted photos from the HP set that are not found anywhere else online. Also, if it's a fake, then all those "real life" friends must be fake accounts too… and that's an awful lot of trouble to go to just to deceive people online for no real benefit. I wouldn't swear on my life it's the real Emma, but I wouldn't swear it's not, either. And I think Tom Felton follows @mwtsnx too… would he get sucked into following a fake?
You would be surprised at the effort some people have put into creating fake accounts and pretending to be someone famous online, or even just a friend of someone famous. This is nothing. It takes very little work to create a twitter and a few fake “real life friend” accounts. That person has also posted photos he/she claimed to have taken, but were traced to other people’s image account.
Funny, because @mwtsnx took those stolen photos down after we called her out on it, haha. Oh well. He/she is just wasting their time.
Why can't people just take no for an answer? If Emma wanted to "keep away stalkers" by announcing on her official site her twitter account was fake, why would she go around telling people it's really her and ask people to spread the word? That would defeat the purpose of announcing it fake in the first place. Yeah, those friend accounts are likely fake as well. I go to a site that is swarming with trolls that make numerous alts. One user has gotten so many alternate accounts banned I have lost track, yet he continues making them and trolling as if he were never banned. Some people just really have no life at all. And among those people are the ones who run those dumb websites that invade Emma's privacy. I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of their fake Emma accounts. I am sick of those idiots.
To KS987 – well this @mwtsnx person isn't "asking people to spread the word" and her profile is set on private meaning the only people who can see her updates are people who she allows. If it was a fake would they bother with that? Jen – really? If they're fake I hope they did. I sent them a message asking about it (esp. coz one 'photo' of 'her birthday cake' was identical to another one on the web) but of course got no reply… whoever it is probably gets thousands of direct messages a week. But the one thing that continues to stump me as I debate back and forth is the fact Tom Felton follows her/him. And we DEFINITELY know @TomFelton is the real Tom Felton coz he publicy confirmed it. Anyway if it's not her that makes me somewhat glad… there've been a few times I'm like "oh come on, with your education you should be able to spell better than that" ;P I dunno. Like I said, I'm definitely not convinced it is her… but I wouldn't say flat-out is isn't coz there's a little seed of doubt there. Also bloody interested to know how they get their hands on images of Emma that I've never seen before… and it's rare that I see a pic of Emma that I haven't already seen. Bloody stalkers.
Hey, I dont usually get involved in these oomment dicussions but I honestly think we should just accept that she doesn't have a social networking page (facebook, bebo etc). And tbh if she actually did have one, I honestly don't think id care. she has a site that I think is absolutley great and I think its amazing that even though she has such a hectic schedule she still finds time to let her fans know how she's doing and whats shes been up to, for me thats more than enough. I think Twitter is just the latest fad, like bebo was a couple years ago. I’m a big fan of Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom). When Matt said he had a Twitter account, I just had to check it out. As much as I like Matt in the movies, Twitter was a waste of time for me. Too much of the time, I didn’t know what he was talking about! But if Emma has a Twitter account, I'm sure she would keep it private. Emma rarely talks about her life off the set. She seems to be a private person and has always said that her private life is just that
@Leah – Yep, he/she did. On "her birthday", "Emma" posted pictures of cupcakes and a birthday cake that were stolen off of Flickr accounts. Now, if Emma had really received those things for her birthday, she would have posted her own personal photos, not pictures taken off of some website. It was also confirmed by someone that the private on-set photos were taken from a crew member's personal website. On top of that, this person made their account private as soon as I confronted him/her about these things. It just doesn't add up. I can understand your doubt though; this person is rather convincing! A heck of a lot of trouble to go through.
