Great news: Jo posted a new photoshoot on Emma’s official website. It was done in Paris, at the Gare du Nord more precisely (if I’m not mistaken… but I’m pretty sure that Emma’s standing on the Eurostar platform), by the famous French photographer Philippe Salaun. Also, Andrew sent us a transcript of a new interview that was published in People magazine, and in which Emma talks, among other things, about her university applications:

Fighting evil? Piece of cake.  Applying to college – now that’s a challenge.  Order of Phoenix star Emma Watson, 17 (who attends an all-girls school in Oxford, England), talks essays and entrance exams with PEOPLE’s Melody Wells.

What’s the best scene in Phoenix?

Obviously, Harry and Cho’s kiss was good.  I mean, it’s a really good kiss!  I don’t think fans will be disappointed.

Have you ever read the final book yet?

It’ll will be sent to me the night it’s released, so I won’t be queuing up for it.  But I’m not getting it earlier than anyone else.

If you were J.K. Rowling, which character would you kill off?

Gosh, that’s a horrible question!  If it had to be a good guy, it would be cool if Neville died avenging his parents.

You’re in school and filming.  A typical day is…

Really, really intense!  The thing about filming is… everything changes every minute.  That’s why I just love when I’m back at school.  I like the stability, knowing where I have to be, at what time.  Nothing’s going to change.

What’s the hardest part of the college-application process?

The personal statement.  It’s so difficult to sell yourself but not seem really arrogant.

Your family lives in Oxford and London.  Will you go to college nearby?

No, I definitely want to go somewhere away from home.  I want to explore and live on my own, in the dorms.  I want to do it all properly!

Our friend Stephanie from RG.net was lucky enough to be invited to the OotP LA premiere, and she managed to film Emma signing autographs and blowing kisses to her fans… She very kindly sent us her video, that you can now watch here on our YouTube! As you all know, Emma was recently interviewed on Regis & Kelly… You can click here to watch the video if you haven’t seen it already.

Anyway, the point of this update is that you can now nominate Emma for a Relly Award by just going to this webpage and entering her name for “Best Guest”. Obviously, you can also nominate her interview for other categories, such as “Funniest Moment” (I just loved the “Because I’m worth it” flashbak LOL) or “Most Touching Moment”.

The official nominations will be announced on August 27th.

Great news, everybody!

Jo updated Emma’s official website: Emma’s just been cast to voice the role of Princess Pea in the upcoming animated movie “The Tale of Despereaux”, which is rumoured to come out in December 2008. Thanks to everyone who emailed us about it!

With even supposedly reputable news sources now publishing plot spoilers for the 7th book, it’s getting harder to avoid having the experience of the last book ruined, but you won’t read any spoilers here. The comments will be enabled again after the book comes out, but even then, spoilers will not be allowed, and those who post them will be banned.
