About hugging Dan in COS (2005): "It seems like nothing, I made a huge deal of it, I was so mortified. For me, hugging a guy, oh! (bursts out laughing). In front of everyone in the Great Hall... I was mortified."

Friday, April 6th, 2007

Hello everyone!

Due to site maintenance in February, we didn’t have a February Site of the Month. However, with the beginning of April here, we must announce our choice for our March Site of the Month. This site, which is currently rebuilding, is a great resource for these two actors. Ok, enough hints already! πŸ˜›  Congratulations to our March Site of the Month, Twice As Nice! Twice As Nice is a great site dedicated to the Phelps twins. Give them a round of applause! πŸ˜†

Now for a bit of Emma news, a big thanks to Neve for finding this old video of Emma on The Rosie O’Donnel Show here on The Leaky Cauldron. Weren’t they all so cute when they were little? πŸ˜›

That’s all for now. Have a great day, everyone!

Got Milk? // 1 April 2007

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

Hello Emma fans πŸ™‚

We have a real treat for you today! I’m sure you all know the US “Got Milk?” campaign, with celebs sporting a milky moustache in order to raise awareness about the many benefits of drinking milk….

Well, last summer, the awesome Michael interned for the advertising agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners, which is in charge of the “Got Milk?” ads. He soon found out that, back in 2002, this agency thought that an ad featuring Emma Watson would be a good way to reach their target demographic: young kids. After all, Emma was Hermione in Harry Potter!

So when Emma came to the US for the Chamber of Secrets promotion, they did a photoshoot (we thought for years that it was for Teen People magazine!) and an ad was drafted. Unfortunately, it wasn’t picked and we never got the chance to see Emma with a milky moustache… until now! Click the thumb to see the drafted ad that Michael so kindly sent us.

It seems that it’s scans week! Thanks to the great site Magical-Menagerie, we now have scans of the new Life Story Movie Magic magazine issue, which features a five-page-long interview with Emma!

Nothing really new, but it’s still nice to read what Emma has to say about each of the movies and to see pictures of her as Hermione through the years, don’t you think?

OK, I talked too much… πŸ˜‰  Now, don’t waste any time and go check the scans here  πŸ˜›

Oh and thanks to Blue Eyed Beauty for making us their site of the month for March πŸ˜†

Tons Of New Scans // 30 March 2007

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Hello, everyone! πŸ™‚

Today we have a great new update with news for all of you to enjoy. First, we must give a big thanks shout out to Maria for sending us two scans from the German magazines, Bravo and Yam. Maria let us know that both of the magazines talk about how Emma may not continue with Harry Potter but now we all know that’s not true! πŸ˜‰  Here are the two scans from Bravo (left) and Yam (right). Note: The picture of Dan smoking is from the play Equus, where he smokes a fake cigarrette.

Entertainment Weekly did a feature on the new Harry Potter movie. The magazine featured three different covers, one with Hermione, one with Harry and one with Ron. Thanks to HPANA, we now have the four scans from the magazine that had pictures of Emma, including the wonderful cover.

Finally, we’d all like to wish EW.net’s previous webmiss, Jo a wonderful birthday! Today is her birthday and we hope her day is amazing. Happy Birthday, Jo! πŸ˜†

Have a superb day, everyone!

Emma on MSN.com β€œChild stars worth watching” list! // 28 March 2007

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Hello everybody!

Thanks to Amna for letting us know that Emma is on MSN.com “Child stars worth watching” list  πŸ˜†

Here’s what they have to say about her:

Although Daniel Radcliffe is enjoying the spotlight these days for his stage work in the racy play “Equus,” the real emerging star of the “Harry Potter” franchise is the lovely Emma Watson, whose performance as Hermione Granger is head and shoulders above Radcliffe’s. And even though Rupert Grint is adorable as Ron Weasley, it’s clear both he and Radcliffe are still mugging a bit for the cameras. You can get away with this as a child actor, but it doesn’t translate much beyond puberty. Watson has been more than booked with the Harry Potter roles, but she’ll surely have other offers once the series wraps (and she’d better stick with the Potter movies, or they will be forever marred by her absence).

We couldn’t agree more! Isn’t it nice to know that Emma is finally getting all the recognition she deserves? πŸ™‚

Have a nice day (and don’t forget to send us your calendars and shippers music videos!).

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Good day everyone πŸ™‚

For this weeks video we have a real treat for you. It’s a new old video I haven’t seen before of Emma at the Valiant premiere back in 2005. It’s just a short clip with Jenny Falconer asking Emma about the movie, and her pets, but it’s really cute. Thank you Alex.

UPDATE: Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will reprise their roles as Harry, Ron and Hermione in the last two films, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”

UPDATE: From the press release:
Emma Watson stated, “I could never let Hermione go — she is my hero! I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me. I am excited and honoured to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of the films.”

FULL PRESS RELEASE:

BURBANK, CA, March 23, 2007 – Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will reprise the roles they have made their own: teen wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively, in Warner Bros. Pictures “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the final two motion picture adaptions of J.K. Rowling’s best-selling book series. The announcement was made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.

In making the announcement, Robinov said, “When Daniel, Rupert and Emma were first cast as Harry, Ron and Hermione, we knew they were not only talented but had a very special chemistry. Through the years, and in each of the ‘Harry Potter’ films, we have watched them grow into extraordinary young adults, as well as remarkable actors. It would be inconceivable to imagine anyone else in the roles with which they have become so identified, so we are thrilled and proud that Daniel, Rupert and Emma have chosen to complete the arc of their character in the final two films.”

Both “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” are being produced by David Heyman, who has produced all of the Harry Potter films to date and was instrumental in bringing the franchise to the screen, beginning with the first blockbuster, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”   David Barron, who served as an executive producer on “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and is a producer on the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” will also be producing the final two installments of the franchise.

Producer David Heyman said, “One of the highlights of this journey has been to witness Dan, Rupert and Emma blossom from children into young adults. They have emerged as consummate professionals who are dedicated to honing their craft and striving for excellence. And yet, throughout, they have retained their enhusiasm and spirit, and they remain, to this day, the same wonderful, kind and generous individuals I met all those years ago.”

Daniel Radcliffe remarked, “Playing the role of Harry Potter has been an immense privilege, and I look forward to completing the series. I feel a huge sense of loyalty to the character of Harry and the fans who have supported these films over the years. During filming, I have learnt so much, made lots of friends and met people who have changed my life. I am indebted to J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros. and David Heyman for giving me this fantastic opportunity.”

Emma Watson stated, “I could never let Hermione go — she is my hero! I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me. I am excited and honoured to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of films.”

Rupert Grint offered, “Ron Weasley has become a big part of my life and not just because we’ve both got ginger hair! I’ve been so proud to play him and loved every second of being part of his world. I’m really looking forward to filming the last two films and being back with my ‘Weasley family’ and, of course, to seeing my good friends Emma and Dan. Thank you to everyone for being so supportive over the years; we couldn’t have done it without you.”

Warner Bros. Pictures’ fifth films in the series, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” is slated for release in the U.S. on July 13, 2007.
