About the HP books being full of stereotypes (2007): "Harry Potter has helped change loads of stereotypes. Where else, in fiction, can you find a character as clever as Hermione, who is an absolute feminist and won't accept to be second to none? Gosh! It's true that they're children books, but they cover most important subjects like life, death, politics, the importance of friendship and the choices that need to be made. Harry Potter really makes children think, it's not just like any other production for teenagers."

First Look at Emma’s People Tree S/S 2011 Collection

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

People Tree sent over the first photo from Emma’s new 2011 Spring/Summer collection. This is Emma’s third, and final, collaboration with the Fair Trade company. More images will be released February 25, and the collection will launch on February 28.

In what will be her third and final collection with the Fair Trade fashion brand the collection takes on a more mature look.

The main collection will officially launch on 28 February 2011 to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight and promoted through a special mail order catalogue with Emma Watson modeling throughout.

“I designed the collection last year after I’d started university in the US. Safia, People Tree’s founder, and Misato, People Tree’s designer, came out to work with me in Rhode Island. Together we decided on all the colours, fabrics, shapes and craft skills. Most of all, we took care to design a really wearable collection that truly celebrates the traditional skills of People Tree’s Fair Trade groups around the world.” said Emma Watson.

You can preview the collection here.
