About NYC (2009):"I probably wouldn't have gone to New York so young if it weren't for the films. I was 11, and I remember it distinctly because it was just after 9/11. I was at ground zero, looking at this gallery that had messages and drawings all over the walls. I remember one of the producers gave this great speech while we were there, saying that maybe the reason Harry Potter was so successful, particularly then, was because people really wanted to be uplifted or taken to another place."

Okay, what you’ve all been waiting for, or at least a few of you eager voters. 😛

It’s the July calendar vote. Remember, you only get to vote one time, but you get to vote for more than one calendar. And please don’t talk about which calendar is yours. Let’s keep the competition fair. You can talk about your calendar after the winner is announced.

Please make sure you write your choices in the order you like them. Your favorite should be first, then next favorite, etc.

  1. View the calendars here. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger preview image. Take your time, make sure you scroll all the way to the end and check out all the calendars.
  2. Choose your favorite 5 calendars, and write down their numbers in order, from best to 5th place. You don’t have to choose 5, you can vote for just one if you like, but you can vote for 5.
  3. Send your vote in an email to emmawatson.contest@gmail.com or in a PM to me on the forums to dookdookdook.

Voting is open through July 1, 00:00 GMT.

“Say You Don’t Want It” Music Video Debuts

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

The music video for One Night Only’s single, Say You Don’t Want It featuring Emma Watson debuted on the UK Channel 4 this morning. If you missed it, you can see it on ONO’s official youtube or we’ve embedded it below. It’s a catchy song (stuck in my head now, lol) and a rather clever video. Once you see the end and figure out what’s going on, you can watch it again and pick up lots of little hints. Emma looks great in the video and she and George Craig worked well together. I have the video in HD and will probably upload it later.

Update
Jo Whiley from BBC 1 interviewed Emma and George Craig on her radio program. Emma and George talk about the the idea behind the Say You Don’t Want It video, and about attending the Glastonbury festival.

You need the Flash to see this video.

Emma Watson at the 2010 Glastonbury Music Festival

Friday, June 25th, 2010

Emma Watson attended the Glastonbury Music Festival today in Pilton, England. We have some MQ pics in the gallery and will try to have HQ later. Thanks to kinor for the tip.

Update:

We now have 137 HQs in the gallery. Credit to CelebrityCity, EmmaLove.

Perhaps that movie rumor was just Emma finishing up some second unit filming, like some other cast have been doing. In the Sun, Emma says “I’ve just arrived and I’m blown away by the size of the festival. We only finished filming last week so I’m still trying to get my head round it. I’m here to enjoy myself and plan to see lots of bands.”

One Night Only Music Video and Deathly Hallows Trailer

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

The wait is over! The One Night Only music video featuring Emma Watson premieres this weekend. George Craig, lead singer for the band, had tweeted earlier that the video for Say You Don’t Want It would debut in the UK this Saturday on Channel 4 after Glee. Well, a quick check of the tv schedule showed that Glee was no longer airing, so not sure what that was about. But it does list the video and it is airing at 9:50 AM Saturday. We’ll try to have a video up soon after.

We should also see more of Emma in a new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. WB tweeted that it will be released online this coming Monday at 4PM PST. WB also confirmed that the trailer will be attached to the latest Twilight movie which opens in theaters on the 30th.

Fan Art and Graphics

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

We have more fan graphics for you today. New avatars from Janda, some banners from Mohamed, wallpapers from Mohamed and Ganesh, and a respect banner and restyle from Erin. Thank you all for sending those in.

We’ve also added a new section for Fan Art which includes drawings, paintings and other physical art. In the past we have featured these in issues of Watson Weekly, but, well, as you know, it’s a long time between issues now. And that’s not fair to those who use pencil or brush to create their art. So, we now feature them on the site.

We have new fan art from Yaroslav, Mr Zhou, Alecto J, Helen, Alyssa, Lisa, Malhar, Mint, Tiago, A Swift, Layla and Daniel, all sent in since the last issue of Watson Weekly. Thank you all. You can see all the past fan art starting here. Thank you to everyone who has sent in art over the years.
