People Tree, Deathly Hallows Photos and more *UPDATE*
  People Tree

We have another of the photos of Emma modeling her favorites from the People Tree Autumn/Winter collection now in hi resolution. Many of you have asked about buying clothes in other countries. A People Tree rep has said the "collection will not be available outside of the EU for the time being."

Update: We now have the second picture that came out in higher resolution. And People Tree has just let us know they will be shipping to Canada, Australia and USA.

Deathly Hallows

Some new images from Deathly Hallows Part 1 have appeared recently. Previews of a picture book from Abril Jovem in Brazil show Emma and Ron in a tent, the trio at Grimmauld Place and Emma with the Slytherin locket. Thanks to Scarpotter for the tip.

Another image of the trio entering Grimmauld Place has been released by WB.

Scans

The 2009 Teen Vogue Handbook had a full page picture of Emma with Karl Lagerfeld. Thanks to Audrey for sending this in. And thanks to Elmira for a scan from the latest issue of Seventeen.

New People Tree Collection Launches
People Tree has launched their new Autumn/Winter collection endorsed by Emma Watson. New on their website is a message from Emma, along with an interview she gave to Safia Minney, founder of People Tree, and a new video. The video, which you can also view below, follows Emma on her trip to Bangladesh. She first visits the 'apalling' slums of Dhaka where the 'fast fashion' garment factory workers live. She then visits the Fair Trade producer group Swallows where the People Tree clothing is made. Finally we see Emma in a photoshoot modeling some of the items in the collection.

The interview and message includes new pictures of Emma on her trip, and modelling some of the clothing. We  have a few of those in HQ below. Emma talks about the collection, and contrasts the living conditions of the fast fashion factory workers with that of Fair Trade community. We've included  a few quotes below, but there is much more in the full interview.

'Although I wasn't centrally involved in the design of this collection, I had great fun in helping People Tree select some gorgeous Fair Trade textiles -- a dogtooth hand-woven check, cable knits, and the first Fair Trade hand-woven brushed checked fabric which has been made into easy tulip skirts, dresses and shirts. There are even a few party dresses, such as the little black satin tulip dress which can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion'

'Following my summer collection for People Tree I wanted to visit Bangladesh to see the difference Fair Trade makes. The contrast between the slums in Dhaka (the capital of Bangladesh) where the people who work in the garment factories live and Swallows (the Fair Trade community supported by People Tree) was all too apparent. I still find it hard to convey what Fair Trade means to those producing our fashion -- it's just so impressive to see how the women have used Fair Trade clothing to escape poverty and empower themselves and their children. I was moved and inspired.'

'I want to congratulate People Tree on this new range and really hope people continue to buy these clothes and to support their great work in the promotion of Fair Trade.'

Preview of Emma Watson's New Fair Trade Collection for People Tree
We have a first look at Emma's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection for People Tree, thanks to an article in London Evening Standard. The rest of the line will be unveiled next week. The collection will be shown during Prince Charles' Garden Party to Make a Difference starting September 9 and while Emma will be back at Brown by then, she has recorded a greeting for the event.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson will unveil her new collection of ecologically sound fashion at Prince Charles's Garden Party To Make A Difference.

The 20-year-old actress is the latest big-name backer for the event and will show the clothes she has helped design for fair trade fashion company People Tree.

Her autumn-winter designs will be unveiled next week, with Watson giving the first exclusive preview here, right. But visitors to the Prince's eco-fest will get the chance to see what will be in the shops next spring.

Watson said: "I'm so thrilled that People Tree will be showing the spring-summer collection at the garden party. I think the Prince of Wales's initiative is such a brilliant idea and I'm thrilled."

Watson became a creative adviser to London-based People Tree after admiring one of its T-shirts and being introduced to its founder, Safia Minney.

The actress has recorded a greeting for the event but she will not be able to attend in person as she will be continuing with her studies at university in America.

People Tree organised the fashion show after organisers of the garden party made contact.

Company spokesman Antony Waller said: "We suggested doing something with Emma's collection because the garden party is an event for families and people of all ages."

Update: Vogue.com has posted a second picture of Emma from her new collection, and says that the fashion show will be September 12 at 3:30 pm in the Friary Court of St. James Palace. Thanks KS987 for the tip.

Deathly Hallows Promos

Warner Bros has released HQ versions of the photos featured in the Entertainment Weekly Fall Movie Preview article on Harry Potter. Here are the pics with Hermione. Sadly they did not include an HQ version of the Emma photo.

Say You Don't Want It

Emma tweeted and posted on her facebook to remind us that One Night Only's single "Say You Don't Want It" and the music video has been released and can be purchased from iTunes.

Pretty Pixies

Vogue.co.uk talks about Emma's short pixie cut and a growing fashion trend in a new feature. If you've been inspired by Emma and are thinking about trying a new look yourself, they suggest visualizing how you will look first, and ask yourself 'do I like myself and my ears without hair'.

Scans

Emma appears in the Russian Glamour and there is an article on HP in the September issue of Total Film. Thanks to Elmira for the scans.

Emma Make-Over

Fozia found this Emma Watson make-over and dress up game. You can change her makeup, her clothes, even colored contacts. I'm not sure about red eyes. Thanks Fozia.

Hermione a Top Geek

Moviefone put together a list of their Top 25 Geeks in Movies and Hermione, as played by Emma Watson, is #5 on the list. Geek Quote: "I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could all have been killed -- or worse, expelled." Thanks Andie.

Most Beautiful Role Model

The Australian Total Girl magazine chose Emma for "Most Beautiful Role Model" in their recent Most Beautiful awards. Thanks Alyssa

"You'd think after a string of massive blockbusters, Emma would want to stick with movies, but this smart cookie has decided to fill up her brains with knowledge by going to university. She hasn't let fame get in the way of living a normal life, so it just goes to show you can do anything if you put your mind to it."

Emma's New Hair Style
I think most of you know already that Emma had her hair cut a few days ago. Now Emma has posted a new headshot on her facebook, saying "I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever."

Update: Entertainment Weekly gives us a sneak peek at another picture of Emma's new 'do' that will appear in their upcoming Fall Movie Preview issue. Emma talks about finally having the chance to change her hair style after 10 years of Potter. "Oh my God, it was the most liberating thing! The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it. I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through, I've wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, 'Right. This is it.'"

Update 2: Entertainment Weekly has posted another picture with a short article. Emma talks about how she felt getting her hair cut, and how she knew there would be a big reaction.

When filming ended, Watson's hair was finally her own. She could have cut her hair immediately, but she decided to wait a bit. "It didn't feel right then; I needed a break," she tells EW.com exclusively. During the cut, designed by New York stylist Rodney Cutler of Cutler Salon, Watson never had a moment of panic or remorse. "It was weird. My hairdresser was like, 'When are you going to freak out?' Most people cry or go into shock,'" she says. "But I was very calm. I knew it was the right thing." It helped, she said, that she didn't tell anyone she was getting the drastic 'do. "I went to the salon alone and I left alone," she says. "I knew everyone was going to have an opinion, and I couldn't deal with it. I have to get myself into a good place to deal with people saying things like, 'It's terrible! She looks like a boy!'" Says the actress, laughing, "My dad already said that to me, actually. He said, 'You're not Audrey Hepburn yet, darling.'"

Ouch. Thanks, Dad? "He's like that. I think the best I've ever had out of him was before a premiere when he said I 'scrub up alright.' When people ask me how I keep myself grounded, there's the answer."

Emma's Twitter
In less than a week, Emma's twitter following has grown to over 55,000 members. In a second tweet she thanked everyone for all the messages, saying "I have the best fans!" I'm still getting questions asking if this is really her. Yes, it is Emma. The twitter is linked from her official site. You can believe it. There are still twitters that claim to be Emma, or an official site account, but you can know they are fake because they are not linked on EWO. Happily, some of these are disappearing.

20 Most Beautiful
Portrait Magazine is planning their first issue dedicated entirely to beauty. They are accepting nominations for the most beautiful people in entertainment and sports, with "beauty" including physical beauty as well as attitude, style, career choice, charity and environment involvement, role mode status and behavior. The top 50 nominees will then compete in a poll, and the top 20 will be featured in a "20 Most Beautiful" article in their beauty issue. Emma is a beautiful person in so many ways, so let's make sure Emma gets on that list and nominate her here.

Scans
Bec let us know that Emma is featured on the August cover of Dolly in Australia. We have a preview of the cover, but don't know if there is an article along with it. Dominika sent us a couple scans from a Polish magazine, not sure what the article is about. And from Elmira, we have a scan from the August issue of Instyle UK, which mentions Emma and Rodarte fashions. Thank you all.

Burberry Displays
Kate sent in some photos she took of the Autumn/Winter displays at the Burberry store in Vienna last year.Thank you Kate.

Emma Watson on Twitter
Emma is now on twitter

Great Fridays, the people behind Emma's official site, announced on their facebook page that Emma is now on twitter and posted her first tweet. The twitter is not verified, and has not been announced on EWO, but I'm 95% convinced it is real. If not, it's a very good fake.

Update:Emma's tweet was retweeted both on Great Friday's twitter and Rob Noble's twitter, founder of Great Fridays. 99% convinced.

Update 2: WB's twitter HarryPotterFilm has tweeted welcoming Emma to twitter. Convinced.

Update 3: Emma's official site has an update on her new twitter account. And Emma's twitter has been updated with a picture and background. The account is also now verified.

Ok, everyone who followed Emma or "official site" twitters in the past, now you know they are all fakes. Please unfollow them.

They are in competition for a $250,000 donation to their organization, which would go towards helping some amazing causes such as literacy and LGBT rights.

Burberry Displays
We have a couple pictures from a Burberry store in Melbourne Australia, thanks to Nicole. These are for the A/W line, but it's winter down there. :) Emma is not part of the next advertising campaign, so I expect these will all be disappearing soon.

Scans
Valentina sent us some scans from Croatia. OK! Magazine had a competition to "be Emma for one day" and the winner got a makeover to look like her. Gloria IN had a feature on makeup which included Emma.

Quotes about Emma
With the end of filming, a number of actors from HP have commented about the experience, and impressions of Emma, Dan and Rupert. Credit to Snitchseeker and UHP for some of these.

Daniel on his height and the trio
"I didn't get particularly worried because as long as Emma and Rupert weren't shooting up too quickly either, I'd look [fine]. We'd all look relatively [the same height]. It was all going to be OK."

Julie Walters on watching the trio grow over the years.
"It was sad. They were all little tots when we started and now they are great big blokes and girls. I felt very sad on the last day. Being part of such a huge phenomenon was amazing. It has meant that a whole generation of children recognise me now. Mind you, they don't always, because I wear a wig and padding in the films, which even Daniel Radcliffe didn't realise. I had to point out to him that it's all birdseed under my dress."

Warwick Davis, on the last day of filming and being there with the trio
"I shot my last day on 'Harry Potter' last Saturday. It was a very sad, very emotional day. I never really get upset finishing a film. I'm normally glad that it's over, that I won't have to wear the makeup anymore - but I was actually really quite choked up about it. Ten years' worth of work finished, and on Sunday, it was worse. I woke up Sunday morning thinking, 'No more Harry Potter. That's it.' "

"I was filming with the second unit, and then I went over to the first unit where they were doing the last shot with Dan, Rupert and Emma. The first assistant director didn't shout, 'It's a wrap.' He didn't say that. He said, 'Come over to the screens over here. I have a lot of video to show you.' He set up the video: a piece of film that they'd shot every day with what's called the golden boards. It would be a special guest that day or an actor who was finishing up the film, or whatever. If something unusual was happening, they'd be the person holding the golden board. Twenty minutes' worth to summarize the last year and a half that we'd been working on the movie. It was really very sad."

"It was them, as it should be," he said. "The three of them. I was lucky to be there for the last day. I think I was the only other cast member in on it."

Bill Nighy on working with the trio
Emma Watson is adorable in the extreme. She is such a lovely person. And Daniel was charming. And Rupert I'd already worked with, so it was nice to work with him again. And they were really welcoming a nice to me. You know, they've been there for 10 years. There were people on that movie that were finishing their Harry Potter life, and people who'd been there for 10 years. It had been their life.

And they'd become great friends. I mean, you do on a single movie. You become great friends with people and get married or have babies, or they just become good friends. It's always tough to pull away because you go do another movie. But on Harry Potter they've done however many they've done - six movies - and they've become big parts of each others' lives. So there was a feeling of the ends of things for people.

Some people finished while I was there. They had their last scenes, and it's a very big deal. It's not like other movies.

I think they will all go on and make other movies. The audience that grew up with them will be happy to see them in other things. They are all good young actors and I should think they will continue to make movies and the audience will grow with them and follow them wherever they go, I would think. They are such popular performers now and they are part of people's lives. They've grow up together, and that audience will stay with them, I would think.

SOTM Award
Emma-Watson.net has been selected as July Site of the Month at Portrait Magazine. Thank you Kat, we appreciate it.

Deathly Hallows Poster
And finally, WB has released a teaser poster for Deathly Hallows showing the battle of Hogwarts. The official Harry Potter website has been updated with a new background using a wide version of the scene which I've captured at high resolution. I don't see Hermione, but I'm sure she's there somewhere. Update: Now have a version without the logo, and if you like the logo, I added it back but less obtrusive. Thanks for the tip tree.
