Got Milk? // 1 April 2007
Hello Emma fans

We have a real treat for you today! I'm sure you all know the US "Got Milk?" campaign, with celebs sporting a milky moustache in order to raise awareness about the many benefits of drinking milk....

Well, last summer, the awesome Michael interned for the advertising agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners, which is in charge of the "Got Milk?" ads. He soon found out that, back in 2002, this agency thought that an ad featuring Emma Watson would be a good way to reach their target demographic: young kids. After all, Emma was Hermione in Harry Potter!

So when Emma came to the US for the Chamber of Secrets promotion, they did a photoshoot (we thought for years that it was for Teen People magazine!) and an ad was drafted. Unfortunately, it wasn't picked and we never got the chance to see Emma with a milky moustache... until now! Click the thumb to see the drafted ad that Michael so kindly sent us.

March SOTM And An Old Video // 5 April 2007

Hello everyone!

Due to site maintenance in February, we didn't have a February Site of the Month. However, with the beginning of April here, we must announce our choice for our March Site of the Month. This site, which is currently rebuilding, is a great resource for these two actors. Ok, enough hints already!  Congratulations to our March Site of the Month, Twice As Nice! Twice As Nice is a great site dedicated to the Phelps twins. Give them a round of applause!

Now for a bit of Emma news, a big thanks to Neve for finding this old video of Emma on The Rosie O'Donnel Show here on The Leaky Cauldron. Weren't they all so cute when they were little?

That's all for now. Have a great day, everyone!

David Heyman talks about Emma & Vote for Emma! // 8 April 2007

Hello everybody!

We hope you're all having a nice Easter week-end

Thanks to Solo from our boards for letting us know about this Newsweek article, in which Emma is mentioned:

"Emma Watson, who plays Hermione, has decided to continue that proper acting in the final two films. She told NEWSWEEK last fall that she was unsure she would stay past "Phoenix." "She's a very considered young lady trying to figure out what the next three years of her life are going to be," says producer David Heyman. "Clearly, we wanted her back, but it was important that she make this decision for herself without any undue pressure." There was enough pressure already."

And thanks to iheartwatson.net for letting us know that you can vote for Emma on the PopstarOnline website (click on the big "Vote Here" button). So what are you waiting for? Just go and make sure that Emma gets that best movie actress award!!!

Have a nice day!

Early review of Emma's performance in OotP // 9 April 2007

Hello Emma fans,

Thanks to the amazing Claire for reminding us that we never posted the excellent (but unfortunately anonymous) review that was given of Emma's performance after an early screening of OotP

"Emma is a consummate professional which is to say that she's picking up all the good acting habits from the fabulous talent and hundreds of years of combined experience from the actors on set. I wouldn't be surprised to see Emma break out and become a real movie star in the future. She's got the chops and you don't just develop that over time. Don't be surprised to see her at the Academy Awards some day. When she's done with the Potter series, you'll be amazed at what she is capable of. I really mean this."

(When Emma gets an Oscar, I'll personally be smirking and telling everyone: "Told you so yeaaaaaars ago )

Anyway, you can read the full article here at The Leaky Cauldron (beware: lots of spoilers!)

Have a nice day!

New Scan & Quote From OotP Screenwriter // 10 April 2007

Hello Emma Fans!

Today, thanks to Quentin, we have a new scan from the French Magazine "One".

And thanks to our wonderful staff member, Neve, we have the translation for the scan as well. It says:

"Emma Watson was the victim of a disturbed fan that followed her inside her school. The man, who is in his twenties, managed to enter the school on an open-lectures day. He approached Emma and started asking her questions about the Harry Potter movies. Fortunately, the 16-year-old actress could reach a teacher, who immediately called the police. The man was taken away from the school and warned that he would be prosecuted if he kept harassing the actress. Emma and her parents were very disturbed by the incident and have decided to hire a bodyguard that will look after her at school. It's hard for the young girl, who has always insisted on living a normal life despite her fame.

And contrary to the rumours that Emma wouldn't come back as Hermione in the two last movies of the series, the actress is about to sign a new contract that will guarantee her to be in the last Harry Potter movies."

Also, Michael Goldenberg, the OotP screenwriter, was interviewed by The Leaky Cauldron yesterday and while he didn't specifically mention Emma, he talked about the trio:

"There's something about those three characters, and those three actors, that's so powerful. And the performances that David has gotten, and that they've given, are just extraordinary. I really think people are going to be blown away. I really think it takes it to a whole different level."

Who else just can't wait for OotP?

You can read the whole interview here.

That's all for now. Have a great day everyone!
