About auditioning for HP (2007): "It was the first audition I went on. I had no idea of the scale of the film - the fame - or I would have been completely overwhelmed."

Catching Up with the Media

I’ve been quite busy getting our new forum going, and have gotten behind on all the Emma in the media news. So, time to catch up. Some of these are just preview images, or just covers. If you can get full scans, please send them in.

We now have the article in Candy from the Philippines. It’s a nice interview. Thanks to Zchynard for the scans.

Emma is on the cover of Atrevida from Brazil, and Girlfriend from Australia.

More covers on Kino Park from Russia, and Cleo and Cosmogirl from Indonesia. Thanks to IHeartWatson.

Sweet from Japan has an article with what looks like the same picture as the Atrevida cover, but less cropping. A large watermark though. Thanks to BoMa for sending it in.

From the Ukraine we have scans from OOPS! magazine, with Emma on the cover and an article. Thanks to Yarumil at svitmagii.ucoz.ru for the scans.

Girl Power in Australia has an article on HP7 and a few other features with Emma. Thanks to Alyssa for the photos.

Cinemania has a huge feature on Harry Potter. Scans courtesy of HarryPotterLA. Click the thumb to see the article in our gallery.

In the December issue of SFX Emma talks about Hermione’s stand out moments in Deathly Hallows, wiping her parent’s memories, getting tortured by Bellatrix, kissing the boys. Click the thumb for SFX’s set report in our gallery. Thanks to Danradcliffe.co.uk for the scans.

Whew! Told you I was behind.

Horcruxes and Hallows – New Behind the Scenes Videos – *Updated*

Two new videos from E! Online give the story behind the Deathly Hallows and the horcruxes. There are some new interviews with Emma, Dan and Rupert, new finished scenes, and some raw footage. The second video is cut short. Hopefully a complete video will be released soon.

November Calendar Vote

Time to vote for the November calendar!

Remember, you only get to vote one time, but you can vote for more than one calendar. And please don’t talk about which calendar is yours. Let’s keep the competition fair. You can talk about your calendar after the winner is announced.

Please make sure you write your choices in the order you like them. Your favorite should be first, then next favorite, etc.

  1. View the calendars here. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger preview image. Take your time, make sure you scroll all the way to the end and check out all the calendars.
  2. Choose your favorite 5 calendars, and write down their numbers in order, from best to 5th place. You don’t have to choose 5, you can vote for just one if you like, but you can vote for 5.
  3. Send your vote in an email to emmawatson.contest@gmail.com or in a PM to me on the forums to dookdookdook.

Voting is open through November 1, 00:00 GMT.

The New Emma-Watson.net Forums

We are excited to announce the opening of our new forum at Emma-Watson.net. As most of you know, we have had a long association with the forum at Emmawatson.net, and that was a great partnership for a number of years. We need to look to the future though and think about long term growth and stability.

We have decided that running our own forum is the best way to build a long lasting community. It will allow us the flexibility to make changes when necessary. We’ll be able to add new features. We will keep a long history of forum threads. We think bringing the site and the forum together will bring new life to both, and help create an active and fun site that will last for many years to come.

Emma in 15a20, Candy and Elle Girl **Update 2**

I think the media frenzy is starting!

Emma is on the cover of 15a20 from Mexico. We have a large image of the cover and a small preview of the article page. The cover promises a giant poster. If anyone gets scans of the feature, please send it in.

Update: Thanks to HarryPotterLa we have another image of Emma from the magazine, and the image above in large size. View the whole article in our gallery.

Emma also covers the November issue of Candy from the Philipines, and they mention an interview. Again, if anyone can send in scans we’d really appreciate it.

And we have a few updates for the Elle Girl magazine from Russia. We have a larger cover image, scan of the article, and a small photo.

Update: Shelly sent us a translation of the part of the article we can see in the above scan.

Elle GIRL: Hey Emma, how do you do in the States? Don’t you miss England?
Emma: Hi! It sounds funny, but I miss my english city a lot. Sometimes I really miss the “greyness” (she means the bad weather). I’ve got the feeling that you have to wear sunglasses in America all the time.

Elle GIRL: What are you doing in your freetime there?
Emma: Having good night’s rest — there’s nothing better (laughs). Otherwise I like eating. And cooking as well.

Elle Girl: Really? And what for a meal did you do for today?
Emma: Toasts with beans. I’m a specialist for them!

Elle Girl: And besides cooking, what do you do?
Emma: In general I’ve a very active way of living, me and my friends like to do some sports-games. And I’m reading often as well as watching movies, for sure.

Elle Girl: Which films do you recommend?
Emma: Well, the thing is, that work is, for me, a real emotional exposure, which means in the evening I don’t feel like watching a intellectal and serious movie. That’s why I’m watching “Sex and the city” to relax.

Deathly Hallows TV Spot 10

Another TV spot for Deathly Hallows aired today. I don’t think there are any new Hermione scenes, but there’s a new scene with Scabior taunting Harry with a jinxed swollen face. Sorry for the video quality, it’s a bit grainy.

New Behind the Scenes from Deathly Hallows

It has been an epic journey over the past 10 years, but it is drawing to a close in Deathly Hallows. In this new video released by Yahoo Movies, we see a look back at the previous films in the series, and short interviews with Emma, Dan, and Rupert talking about the story of Part 1. There are also a few short glimpses of new scenes.

Emma’s Future with Burberry

Christopher Bailey recently invited fans to ask questions on the Burberry facebook page. He answered a selection of questions earlier today in a video, and one was “Is Emma Watson going to model for Burberry any time soon again?”

Emma is absolutely a part of many many projects that we do. She is very close to us at Burberry and she is somebody that I find inspiring and exciting and I work with her on lots and lots of different things. So watch this space for new projects that we’re working on together.

We’ll be watching!  🙂
