About not spending her money on fashion (2009):"I don't really buy designer stuff. I have a few nice things, but I don't really have the occasion to wear couture too often. When I'm in a situation where I do need to dress up, I'm typically lent something-which means I have to give it back at midnight, like Cinderella. "

New Deathly Hallows Hermione Poster

A new Hermione poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released yesterday on Yahoo Movies. Hermione is looking quite battered in the fight against the Dark Lords forces. London’s Tower Bridge in the background shows that indeed, “Nowhere is Safe”.

Update: Now in HQ, click on the thumb.

Thanks to Petra and NielsThomas for the tip.

Another Movie Role Rumor

Another week, another rumor about Emma in a new movie. The Daily Mail says that Emma has been cast in the movie My Week with Marilyn, a real life story about Colin Clark, assistant to Laurence Olivier, and his nine days of contact with Marilyn Monroe during the filming of  The Prince and the Showgirl. Emma is said to play Lucy, a wardrobe assistant, who had a few dates with Colin. There’s has been no confirmation from Emma or her reps, and no other source of information, and well, it is from the Daily Mail, so, yeah, it’s just a rumor.

Site Maintenance

Hi all,

I need to shut down the site for a while to do some maintenance. This will include the image and video galleries. I am not sure yet when this will happen, or how long it will take. Maybe a few hours, maybe a day or two. So if you notice the site has disappeared, don’t worry, we’ll be back. 🙂

Update: Main site is back, still working on galleries.

Update: Galleries are back.

Emma Talks about Why She is Passionate over Fair Trade

In a new video from People Tree, founder Safia Minney interviews Emma Watson during her visit to Bangladesh earlier this summer. In a previous video and interview excerpts on their site, Emma talked about visiting the factory worker slums in Dhaka and the contrast with the Fair Trade community Swallows. In this interview, Emma opens up more about her experience there, the people she met, and how Fair Trade has made such a difference in peoples lives. She makes the point that while people donating to charities helps, it is not sustainable, and that giving people the chance to help themselves through programs like Fair Trade is the real answer.

Thanks to People Tree for the video. And here is a picture of Emma and Safia from the People Tree facebook.
