About living up to expectations (2011): "People have been so kind. Lancôme saying I'm the icon of a generation, Glamour saying I'm the best dressed… I just hope I can be everything that everyone wants me to be, I guess."

Making of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Making of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter aired on NBC yesterday. The half hour special gave us a brief look at all the work that went into the park and included a tour of the attractions and commentary by Emma Watson and others in the cast.

Warning: This is not dialup friendly, sorry.

Deathly Hallows Trailer at MTV Movie Awards

A trailer for Deathly Hallows aired during the MTV Movie awards with a lot of new footage we haven’t seen before. The rest of the show wasn’t that great. Congratulations to Tom Felton for winning Best Villain, but Emma, Dan and Half-Blood Prince didn’t win in their categories.

Thanks to Snitchseeker for the clip.

This and That

MTV Movie Awards Tomorrow

The MTV Movie Awards airs tomorrow evening, Sunday at 9pm EST. Emma was nominated for Best Female Performance, Dan Radcliffe for Best Male Performance, Tom Felton for Best Villain, and Half-Blood Prince for Best Movie. I hope you guys have been voting. Only Tom Felton has confirmed that he will be attending.

MTV has announced the show “will feature an exclusive, never-before-seen clip from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1“. During last year’s awards, they also promised an “exclusive clip” from Half-Blood Prince but it was mostly already seen footage. Hopefully this year is better.

Making of Wizarding World

Also tomorrow evening, The Making of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter airs on NBC at 7pm EST. This 30 minute special tours the corridors of Hogwarts and the streets of Hogsmeade and will include “exclusive cast commentary”. No details on who this includes though.

Scans

The German Bravo had an article on the friendship between Emma, Dan and Rupert.  Thanks Nelli. Elle from Canada had a feature on summer scents, and the US Seventeen mentions Emma working with People Tree. The feature is about turning one’s passion into money, but Emma didn’t do this for money so it’s a bit out of place. Thanks to Elmira.

Gallery Updates

I have updated some of the pictures of the recent filming at Stevenage with untagged versions, thanks to order partner RupertGrint.net. I’ve added some new old pics from the Sean Cook, Ellen von Unwerth and Elle UK 09 photoshoots. Thanks to Marie Aline and Watson Daily, via IHeartWatson.

June Calendar

Emma’s recent photos in the June issue of Vanity Fair were a popular subject for calendar makers, and with the voters it would seem. Congratulations to Kathy, our winner for the June competition!

Honorable mentions go to Joanna, Marie, Lotus, Joanna again, Marta, Sissi and Esma. Thank you to everyone that entered, and thank you all for voting.

All the entries can be seen here.

Hermione from the Deathly Hallows Epilogue

Photos are now online of of Emma Watson in make-up as the older Hermione filming scenes from the Deathly Hallows Epilogue. If you want Emma’s appearance to be a surprise, don’t click on the thumbs. Thanks to Snitchseeker for the tip.

SPOILERS

In other news, Emma is on Teen Vogue’s Best Dressed list of May, wearing Burberry at the Met Ball.

We have some scans of Teen Vogue from last October, thanks to Elmira, and a small article from the Herald Sun in Australia thanks to Alyssa.

New Photos from Deathly Hallows Filming

At the National Movie Awards Dan Radcliffe apologized for Rupert Grint’s absense, saying he was unwell and they needed him “fit and ready tomorrow morning because we are back to work.” It looks like Rupert bounced back, because he, Dan and Emma Watson were photographed filming in a large grassy field somewhere in England the next day. In this scene, Ron returns the Slytherin locket to Harry. Pictures courtesy of Daniel Radcliffe France. Update: Additional photos thanks to Rupert-Grint.us.

David Heymann said at the National Movie Awards there were two more weeks of filming after the epilogue was finished, so it’s not the end yet. I wonder what else we’ll see? The end is coming soon though.

People Tree Contest, Photos, Scans

People Tree is holding a competition where you can win People Tree vouchers good for merchandise from their store, plus a Tote Bag signed by Emma.

IHeartWatson found some new images from the 2009 Women’s Wear Daily photoshoot by Thomas Iannaccone. They are only LQ, but still nice to see.

And we have some new magazine scans. Alyssa sent us these from Australia’s Little Angel magazine (sorry, they are too blurry to read), and Elmira sent us scans from the June Glamour from Russia, and French Vogue from last November. Thank you both.

More from the National Movie Awards

Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe spoke about the end of Harry Potter and future plans in a Winners Board interview after accepting awards for Best Family film for Half-Blood Prince, and a Special Recognition award the for the Harry Potter series.

“None of us could say that we predicted this kind of love and recognition. It’s just incredible. I’m just so unbelievably proud to have been part of this. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

During the acceptance speech, Emma had said “There will be a huge hole in my heart when it’s over.” and now she added “I feel like someone’s dying, I know that sounds like an exaggeration but I really do.”

About her summer plans, “I’m not planning to do anything this summer – I’m going to need time to collect myself and get myself back together a bit. So I’ll take a bit of a break.”

I’ve also added a bunch more photos to the gallery, credit to Celebrity City.

June Calendar Vote

Let’s start the voting. Remember, you only get to vote one time, but you get to vote for more than one calendar. And please don’t talk about which calendar is yours. Let’s keep the competition fair. You can talk about your calendar after the winner is announced.

Please make sure you write your choices in the order you like them. Your favorite should be first, then next favorite, etc.

  1. View the calendars here. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger preview image. Take your time, make sure you scroll all the way to the end and check out all the calendars.
  2. Choose your favorite 5 calendars, and write down their numbers in order, from best to 5th place. You don’t have to choose 5, you can vote for just one if you like, but you can vote for 5.
  3. Send your vote in an email to emmawatson.contest@gmail.com or in a PM to me on the forums to dookdookdook.

Voting is open through June 1, 00:00 GMT.

Good luck everyone!
