For April, we have selected Clive Owen Online as our Site of the Month. The site is dedicated to the British actor, star of “The International” and “Duplicity” with Julia Roberts, currently at the cinema.

Congratulations to Esma! She is our winner for the April calendar competition. Actually she had two entries tied for first place, so after a tie breaker (I picked my favorite of the two), she gets first place and first honorable mention.

Total Film magazine has a feature on Half-Blood Prince in the May issue. It doesn’t look like there are any new pictures, but there is an interview and Emma has some interesting quotes. You can read the article on their website here.

Emma has designed a jacket on behalf of the AFI Dallas International Film Festival for a charity auction to fund the fight against AIDS. Emma’s jacket along with jackets by well known designers will be shown at the DIFFA/Dallas 20th Anniversary Collection: Utopia Preview Party on March 31 at Union Station in Dallas. DIFFA/Dallas presents preview party for Dallas Collection ’09: Utopia
The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS: DIFFA/Dallas presents the DIFFA/Dallas 20th Anniversary Collection: Utopia Preview Party on Tuesday, March 31, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Dallas’ historic Union Station.
The event offers the public a first glimpse of the 2009 Jacket Collection to be auctioned off at the Hilton Anatole Hotel on May 2.
Dallas Collection and the preview party will feature jackets by nationally and internationally renowned designers such as Michael Simon, Geoffrey Henning, Tadashi, St. John, Lela Rose, Kenneth Cole, Emma Watson for AFI, Tory Burch, The Muppets and costume designers from “Desperate Housewives,” “Heroes” and “Ghost Whisperer” and more.
Chef Wolfgang Puck will provide the food.

Did you want the main role in Twilight?
I haven’t had time to read it…. I think I should because it’s getting more and more famous.
You work and study. You are about to start University.
It’s an exciting part of my life. I’m grown up now, kind of. It’s a bit scary because I’ll stay away from home. I may choose an American university, I don’t know yet.
Why, since you have Oxford and Cambridge near home?
In America you can attend 4 different classes and then specialize. In England you have to choose a single class and attend for 3 years. It’s limited.
Any names?
Mmmh, Harvard, Yale, Columbia.
For British press, you are a fashion icon. Could you describe your style?
I’m a true Londoner. The weather is a bit grey. That encourages a freaky fashion. I mix the street style with vintage. I enjoy it. My mother is very stylish, I learned a lot from her.
And from Kate Moss?
She has a great style too. You can immediately see that she wears her own dresses. In America you can’t do anything if the the stylist hasn’t told you what you have to wear.
You bow to thinness dictatorship?
It has never been a dictatorship to me, I don’t think it’s a good thing being too thin. I’m not on a diet. I like eating and cooking. I can make a very good cake with raspberries and macaroons.
It’s been a quiet weekend for Emma news, but we have a couple site updates to mention. First a reminder about the birthday project. The deadline is now set for March 31. Don’t be late.
I have updated the fan graphics section, with new avatars from Kelsey, new banners from Kelsey, Malgorzata and Brittany, and new wallpapers from Caro and Marina.
I have also updated the Respect pages. We have new avatars and banners from our staff, Katy and Maud. I’ve also added a new section for respect graphics sent in by fans. We have received quite a few, and now we finally have a place to display them. Thank you to Isa, Asia, Ana, Raquel, Sarah, Xcm, Exter, MacCraig, Aida, Alisa, Guy, Roni, Jade, Natalia, Svetlana, Kelli, Josh, Taty, Bianca, Mina, Tessa, Brittany, Clement, Atonement, Riley and Kellbell. I’m sorry it took so long to add them to the site.
Emma and her brother Alex attended the premiere for Damned United on Wednesday. We have a mix of HQ and MQ pics in our gallery, credit to preppie, Watson-Daily and Ohmywatson.
Site update: I’ve added new graphics from our staff members to the media pages. We have new avatars from Katy and Maud. Some are a bit older. I thought they had been lost in a server crash but I found copies. We also have some recent wallpapers from our retired staff member Marta. Those of you who have been around a while should remember Marta’s graphics.
The Tale of Despereaux, with Emma as the voice of Princess Pea, comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray in the US on April 7, and in the UK on April 20. Both the DVD and Blu-Ray come with a “making of” featurette, and the Blu-ray includes access to cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, but it’s not clear if Emma is included in any of this.
The Russian edition of In Style had a feature called “The Look” with Emma in their February issue. The text is in Russian, but I guess they liked the grey outfit she wore to the Sonia Rykiel show during Paris Fashion Week. Thanks to Mirik for the scan.
