I’m sure you remember the Alexander McQueen gown that Emma wore to the National Movie Awards in early September. When Naomi Campbell wore the same gown during Paris Fashion week of course people had to compare the two. A number of magazines had polls of who wore it better and it has been a landslide for Emma. Thanks to bravelittletoaster on the forums we have scans of some of the results (plus a bonus scan of Emma in gray at the Sonia Rykiel show).

Emma is also on Vogue’s 10 Best Dressed this week for her appearance at the Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus party earlier this month. Thanks to Juli for the tip.

We now have a larger version of a picture from Half-Blood Prince seen earlier this summer. An article in Famous Kids magazine from Canada has several pictures from HBP, including this one with Emma, Dan, Rupert (back), Bonnie, Jessie Cave and Afshan Azad. Emma Watson attended the Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus at Pier 3 yesterday in Brooklyn, New York. The xXx party took place in 17 cities around the world to kick off their new line of jeans.

Ok, Emma speaking French isn’t that surprising, but we rarely get to hear it. On the French TV Canal + program Le Petit Journal People they asked  several celebrities at Fashion week to say “Bonjour le Petit Journal”, including Claudia Schiffer, Paul McCartney and Emma. Fashion writer Derek Blasberg was at Fashion Week and had this to say about Emma in his Style.com blog:

The sweetest person I’ve met this Paris fashion week has been Emma Watson, the 18-year-old British actress making her first trek to the Parisian collections. “I’ve been to fashion shows before, like the Chanel show that was in London in December,” she told me. “But this is the first time I’ve been to shows like this. This is my first time at fashion week, and let me tell you, it’s pretty intense.” She’s made a pretty good first run: spending a few hours actually looking at the pictures at Patrick Demarchelier’s exhibit at the Petit Palais (how novel) on Tuesday night, attending Sonia Rykiel’s anniversary fashion show and party (”That was amazing!”), and going to a handful of the big fashion shows, like Giambattista Valli (”I don’t even know where to begin”) and Chanel (”Now, that was a big deal”). But Watson’s got her sights on something beyond mere fashion: After her time in Paris, she’s planning a trip to the East Coast to look at universities.

Well, it looks like Paris Fashion Week is finally winding down. No more events with Emma. She had planned on going to the Alexander McQueen show, but so far I haven’t seen any pics of Emma, or any other celebrities, so not sure what’s going on with that. Anyway, here’s a couple last items. The Times had an article on Emma’s special relationship with Chanel. The Telegraph has a video about the Sonia Rykiel show. Emma appears for just a few seconds at the beginning, but it’s a lively and spirited Emma. 🙂   Thanks to Alin and Melissa for the tips.
