A new still from The Perks of Being a Wallflower has been released by Summit Entertaiment and posted online by Cine Marcado in Brazil. The shot features Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. Perks premieres in Brazil on November 2.
Emma on Perks and the Moment She Left Hermione Behind
In an excerpt of an interview from Entertainment Weekly, Emma talks about how Stephen Chbosky convinced her to take the role, and the moment she was truly able to leave Hermione behind.
“At our initial meeting, he said, ‘Okay, not only is this going to be one of the most important parts you play, you’re also going to have the summer of your life and meet some of your best friends.’ I thought, ‘That’s quite a claim. Who is this guy?” Watson says with a laugh. “Everything he said came true.”
The cast — which includes Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller — all bonded while living in the same hotel in Pittsburgh, which Watson now calls one of her favorite places. It was there that Watson can point to one particular scene — when Sam stands up in the back of a pickup truck driving through a tunnel — as the moment she was able to truly graduate from Hogwarts. “I started as Emma with some Hermione still left in my system,” she says. “I went through the tunnel and I came out ready to start something new.”

Emma on Movie Rumours
Emma talked to Entertainment Weekly about the recent rumours she was in talks for 50 Shades of Grey. The short version? It’s nonsense. Same with last years The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
“I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – I never even saw a script!”
Emma’s reps previously stated there was no truth to it, but that didn’t stop the rumour from growing. Even family and friends asked her about it after reading so many reports. “I told them just because there are 60 articles on the Internet doesn’t mean it’s any less true than if there are three or four.”
There you have it. Straight from Emma. Do you think this will finally stop the rumours?

Perks to Premiere at TIFF
The Perks of Being a Wallflower will have its world premiere at this years Toronto International Film Festival. The festival runs from September 6 through the 16. Perks premiere date will be announced August 21.
Update: Emma has revealed the UK poster for Perks on the UK facebook page for the movie, UKWallflowers. The film opens in the UK on October 3.
New Pics
Several new old photos have come out recently. First a photo of Emma with Mark Demsteader who painted a series of portraits of her. A photo of the trio with HP crew members during OoTP (thanks Valerie). And a photo from the Deathly Hallows Part 1 photoshoot.
Movie Rumor
The latest movie rumor about Emma has her trying for a role in 50 Shades of Grey. Emma’s representatives have stated there is no truth to the rumors, and the producers have said they haven’t even begun thinking about casting. In spite of this, the rumor continues to grow. Today I read from supposedly reputable news sources that Emma is close to “inking the deal”. Edward R. Murrow must be spinning in his grave.

August 2012 Calendar Competition
Time for the August calendar competition!
- The size of the calendar should be at least 1024×768. Higher resolutions are good. Widescreen is also allowed.

Twitter Update
You may have noticed a lack of activity on our twitter. Due to “technical problems” we haven’t been able to use it for a while. Ok, a long loonng while. I had pretty much given it up for lost, and was waiting for twitter to call it abandoned so we could reclaim it. With recent events, we just had to make one more big effort, and I’m happy to say our twitter is now back in action. We should be tweeting a little more regularly from now on.
