Well there’s going to be some changes on the second part of the birthday project. We’ve had a great response to our request for poems and it seems a shame to only use 5 of them. So, we’ve decided not to use them in the World Picture Book. Instead we will have a separate project which will include more of the poems you send in, so now you have a better chance of getting your poem published.
But wait, there’s more. 😛
We know that not everyone is a poet, so we’re giving you visual artists a chance too. We’re adding two more parts to the second project. The best of each will be included with the poems in a second book. 🙂
1. drawings, or paintings, or other hand made art
- they can be of any subject matter, not necessarily of Emma.
- send us a scan, or very clear photo
2. birthday cards
- design your own cards with a birthday message
- the message should be like what you would typically find in a birthday card, not a personal message to Emma
- they can be hand drawn, or by computer
- the card should be a single image, suggested size is 400×600
- we suggest not using pictures of Emma. Don’t you think it would be wierd if you got a birthday card with a picture of you on it? 😉

Reminder: Don’t forget about Part 1 of the Birthday project. We had over 90 countries represented for the Christmas project and we are still missing quite a few countries for this project.

This is great. I'm glad that you can be able to draw anything you want, not just about Emma 🙂

(this is sorta random) u no whats cool tho? i was just reading one of emma's quotes up top and it was about meeting brad pitt. i like it how she is a fan of someone lese so she knows what it feels like to be one up us. sorta radom but just how we can all relate to emma. 🙂

sorry, i was unclear. I meant do you want a card that is just one picture? or do you want an actual card? ( if so, do you want it all put together in a Windows program?) I know it's still kinda hard to understand, but i'm planning on doing this on photoshop.
sarah, an actual card, like paper folded up with designs on, no. That would not be practical. I think the idea was just a one picture card, like a \”birthday postcard\”, but let me discuss it with the staff and I\’ll update the post tomorrow.
Wow, finally her Birthday comes, Dook just wondering what are your ideas for her Birthday Project? She is turning 18? perhaps in April I think which is her Birthday? 😕
Besides pictures and poems, its kind of boring, can you like give or send her music, its actually better. Isn't it true she has an Ipod which I kind of nice which I just heard, I just saw a video on it. Jo gave her an Ipod, but whatever .. its up to everyone.
@ justin, yeah, the site has already given her an ipod. emma is turning 17 and emma is acctally really into the different places of the world. thats why they are doing this project casue shes always saying how she would have never traveled to places like tokyo and LA with out harry potter, so yeah

Sounds like the advertisements on ShopTv, "but wait there's more, if you call in the next 30 minutes, you'll receive…" LOL…sorry got kinda carried away…nice one dook! And some great ideas for the birthday project too…really looking forward to Emma's reaction when she gets this.

nice edition, I love that the art section now includes more than poems, 'cause Emma loves art, but the contests we've had here for graphics, portraits and videos have just been here, they didn't go to Emma, so that's much better… cool!!!
