Along with the photocall today, there was a press conference and press junket interviews for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Videos are starting to appear and we have a few for you below. But first, some recent comments Emma made in interviews got the media buzzing about how she was going to quit acting forever. She says “I don’t really know why they wrote that. I guess it makes more of an interesting headline.” In another quote Emma says, “I am just looking forward to meeting people my own age and having a normal life for once. But that does not mean that I’ll never be acting again. It was always my dream (to go to university) before I did the films and so I don’t see why I should change it.”

You have to laugh don't you. Even the press junket seating arrangements have changed. All throughout the films it's been Harry and his sidekicks either side of him. Now, just in case we didn't know how the on screen relationships pan out, they put him next to Ginny. Typical of the press….And we're to thick to grasp it unless we see it before I very eyes! 😆 😆 Thanks for posting these. Anybody in the UK see the Weasley twins in Kingdom last Sunday? Nice to see them popping up on tv.

Emma is one stunning young lady. I loved how she addressed the press making up stories about her quitting acting while she goes to university. Like she says, she can go to university AND act if that is what she wants to do. I hope she has fun when she goes to university later this year, and I hope she can study normally without people bothering her too much.

She looked very comfortable being there in that interview (gmtv) Probably because Rupert is also there and it's not 'just her'. The way she responds just seems more genuine, instead of the polite and "i'm feeling slightly uncomfortable" smile. I really like it!

Can anyone tell me if its true she confirmed that she's going to Columbia? This article (http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/2009/07/04/Potter-star-Watson-going-to-Columbia-U/UPI-54151246740106/)mentioned that she confirmed that she will be attending Columbia according to New York Daily News. I voted for Emma on People. She is very articulate in all the videos I've seen her which is very lovely 🙂

Di, the article has no quote from Emma herself regarding it, but references the Elle magazine interview, in which she didn't mention Columbia either, but many articles were claiming she was going to Columbia using that as a reference for some reason. So she hasn't confirmed anything yet.
