I hate the winning calendar I think Lisa should of won 🙁
You know, I am getting a little tired of all the complaints. People didn’t like the winners when the staff chose. Now people complain when the fans vote. Karina’s calendar won. And not by just a few votes. She got almost 1 1/2 times the next highest entry.By the way, many of those complaints are from the same person. And even if I counted the 22 times you voted on your own calendar, you would not have won.I’m seriously thinking about dropping the whole competition.
😆 22 times ? some ppl must be in love with their own work but they don`t trust others to see it the same way…weird… 😆 a little controversy doesn`hurt? complaints have been rather civil so far…maybe you could release the total number of votes for the winner and runners-up….
I don't like the winning one. Others are pretty good,and some of them are MUCH better.Anyway,congrats! 🙂

I think that as long as the winning calendar came across this honestly then i see no reason why people can't be happy for Karina. I'm glad mine won honourable mention, but, I don't think that there needs to be such a big deal made about the one that won. I really don't want this whole thing to effect future calendar contest. Can we not all just move on?

@Dook: Oh please don't put an end to the calendar-voted-by-fans 😥 I always like to see as many lovely calendars as I could 😆 so please, I beg you. In my opinion, the one who put most efforts is not meant the winner. People can spend much time to design, to put something like 'visual effect' on their products. But the key to make something a winner is how strong it can move people. I mean the feeling. In art, the feeling (not the technique) is always the most important thing. So though Karina's is simple, it won because it attractted people, it made lots of us notice it at once. And who says it's not Octobery? It's cardinal, and it looks like Emma is in a dressing room, trying to find costumes for a "trick or treat" outing. I love others too. I also love #35 though it didn't win. Just want to tell you my feeling towards Karina 😆 No offense, lol.
And the date is very legible. Anyway, we're voting for calendar, not wallpaper (which requires some other qualities) 😆
Maybe next time we should just let Emma choose the calenders next time. :razz:. .

😕 The one-and-only real Emma? Choosing something with herself as the main theme? Doesn`t sound like it would work (even if she was available for it). 🙁
Most probably. But the idea sounds unpresidented, no one has ever speak of it here, so far. Since she is ethical in some ways, it would be a good idea, but the problem is how is it going to work. Usually, competitions like this win by majority, but just complicated.
Emma agree to judge the calendar contest?? You’re kidding, right?? That would be so out of character for her, it’s beyond ridiculous. She’s not so self-absorbed. Come on guys, she’s not Miley Cyrus.
I bet she gets tons of requests to appear at you-name-it and be the presenter/judge of god-knows-what…if she doesn`t do that, a calendar competition is unthinkable… Unless maybe they would all PAINT it. Acrylics. Oils. Anything with a brush. On canvas. 😆

I'm with Dook here, I wasn't expecting the negative comments regarding the winning calendar, especially when you say "I could have put this together in 5 seconds." First of all, there is such a thing as "less is more" – the calendar might be simple, but we really have no idea whether her creative process took 5 seconds or a couple of hours. Perhaps Karina gave thought to what picture to choose, what colors to pick and what font to use. That in itself gives it more than 5 seconds of work. and this voting thing, only proves that you can never make everyone happy. such as life~~~ 😉
