Looks good to me… just wondering, is there any chance that there’s a new layout coming to the site? Seeing that Emma has cut her hair and all with the DH promotion, there’s heaps of pics you could use. Just wondering, I think the new layout would be good. 🙂
It looks OK enough to me as well, but I was wondering… what happened with emoticons? Aren´t they gonna be available on this new system?
Alyssa, there will be a new layout. Not sure when though.
Luis, you can use emoticons by using the codes. I don’t know about having little icons to click.

I personally liked the older version of the site more.. but anyway, change is good.. I cant switch to my favorite layout though! 😥

There were some nice things about the old news system, but I think you will like what we can do with the new one. I’ll work on making the comments a bit easier to read, and see if I can add clickable emoticons. I don’t know if we will have switchable layouts again.

I noticed a few differences but it works fine.
I sent in a message for the Christmas project a few days ago and sent in another with a picture yesterday. 🙂
Layout links aren’t working. Other than that, haven’t noticed anything, and I love the new News section.
Ah, yes, I need to change that page. We only have the one layout now. It might be possible to bring back multiple layouts, but not soon.
I can’t tell which news script you are using, but hopefully it’s not Cutenews since that script is VERY unsafe!
Actually we were using Cutenews for 4 years. There were a few security holes that were easily patched, and those were fixed in the last release, which was a couple years ago. I think any one that gets hacked through Cutenews now is using an old version and never updated.
I don’t get why we can’t switch the layouts ths time.
And i find the mentions confusing in the comments, you see the “reply + name + date” I don’t find it easy to read at all.
Furthermore, it would be better not to have only black bold titles on the front page, i find the site deserves a little more design, and sth a little smouther.

I agree the comments are a bit hard to follow. When I have a chance I will work on the formatting to make it easier to read. Part of the confusion is that you can reply at the end, or you can reply to a specific comment. I don’t know if that last is a good idea because how many people will read through all the comments again to see a new reply.
Having more layouts is a lot of extra work. Most people, probably more than 99%, just use the default layout, so I think my time is better spent on other things for the site. But it’s possible I will bring back switching layouts. We’ll see.
Well, i think the “reply” option is great, it’s a good idea, it’ll just take time for people to get use to it.
However, the date shouldn’t be that big, i don’t think it’s the most useful thing to read (you shouldn’t underline it – but the name in italic is good), and maybe you should put the reply button next to the name of the poster (on other sites, that’s how they do).
Of course, it’s just my opinion ^^
For the layout it’s ok, i understand, i was juste used to another one. This one is good (but i hated that vogue photoshoot xD)

Steffi, it looks like a nice card from the pictures, but it’s only a card. It doesn’t look like it includes messages from fans. And we have done similar things to this for several years now.
