After a series of riddles on her twitter, Emma Watson has confirmed she is a new ambassadress for the French cosmetics company Lancôme. She will reportedly be the new face of their fragrance Trésor Midnight Rose.
Youcef Nabi, President of Lancôme International, released this statement. “Lancôme is pleased to announce the arrival of Emma Watson as new ambassadress of Lancôme. Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme”.
Rumours say Mario Testino will be shooting the campaign. He has done other recent shoots for Lancôme, and he does fit Emma’s third clue, producing some great photos of Emma in the past. We’ll have to wait and see. A release date for the campaign has not been announced.

Well done Emma! This expands her profile again and means an even bigger audience will know her. These sort of deals combined with Pure Threads and doing movies like Perks are a very good sign, she’s mixing it up a bit, high profile and indie.

It’s good news! Pretty much every major actress these days has fronted a beauty brand and Emma now joins them. It’s another string to her bow and big name to her CV. If she can do modeling like this and mix it with interesting movie roles, even if she does a few smaller movies, she’ll continue having a very good all round career. This is another profile boost, hopefully Wallflower will be another acting boost. High profile deals keep her name in the spotlight and she can then do some smaller stuff as well.

Well congrats to Emma, I’m really happy for her, even though I was expecting a new movie role, this is pretty big too. I can’t wait to see the posters and ads! And it’d be awesome if she did a perfume ad too!
