About the first film (2007): "Sometimes, I'll go to a friend's house and their little brothers and sisters will be playing the first film on DVD and it's very strange. It's like your baby pictures but a whole film of it. I look so different."

An Eco-Friendly Lancôme Line?

In excerpts from an interview in today’s Women’s Wear Daily, Emma revealed she is interested in an eco-friendly project with Lancôme. She has talked to executives about the possibility, but “It’s very early stages”.

More than just a face for Tresor Midnight Rose, Emma has been quite involved in the whole process. “It’s funny, the guys at Lancome were like, ‘You need to be directing, Emma.’ I had ideas about every aspect. I’m sure I drove them insane. I was involved in the concept for the [ad] film and the tag line, ‘Catch my heart if you can.’. She also “helped choose the color of the rose”, selecting the name, and even the hat she wore in the campaign. “The hat [in the ad] was my hat, which I bought at a flea market in Paris. I was very involved in the script. It’s been really fun for me.”

She added that signing on with Lancôme “feels like the right thing to have done.” The brand she said, “has this amazing heritage and this amazing history. It’s very well established but at the same time seems to be at the forefront.”

Emma also talked about her fashion sense. “I think less is more – less makeup, less accessories is better. I try to dress age-appropriately which isn’t actually that easy when obviously high-end clothing is designed for women who are older than I am. It’s a fine line to tread between looking smart and looking ready to go on a red carpet but also looking like I’m 21. It’s quite difficult.”

And, another batch of pictures from the release have come out from Lancôme.

  16. kristen says:

I wish emma was just a little more darring like kristen stewart w/ her acting and clothes, I want to see a sexy siren look and act from emma. I think that would Fit her better.

    • Arou says:

I personally don’t like Kristen’s Stewart’s clothes, which always seem to be the same dress in a different pattern, but I would like to see Emma explore her acting skills.

    • Birgit says:

If you’re trying to compare Emma with Kirsten Stewart you’ve given yourself a very, VERY hard job. Personally I hope Emma is not going to do anything like Kirsten Stewart. Can’t stand her. And I absolutely hate her style. Emma’s style’s much better, I wouldn’t want her to do anything like Kirsten in that way, in any way actually, I personally hate Kirsten and think she looks horrible but that’s my opinion.
And about her acting, Emma just said goodbye to Harry Potter, it would be very wrong for her to now take all kind of huge roles, like Kirsten, above that, unlike Kirsten Emma’s still busy with her study, she doesn’t have much time for huge roles and because she is a perfectionist, she wouldnt do anything ‘half’.
And Emma said herself she likes less is more, so you can forget the sexy siren, its not Emma. And I actually think Emma always looks quite sexy in her own way, which is not slutty, but feminime, and that’s a much better way of being sexy.
If you want Emma to be like Kirsten, you maybe should stay away from Em and become a fan of Kirsten. That would be better for you, Emma ánd Emma’s real fans who like her just the way she is.

I adore Emma, but if we are all honest that dress = french maid

  18. KS987 says:

I had a feeling Emma had something like this in mind. 🙂 Hopefully she is able to convince Lancome into doing an eco-friendly line with her. And she looks gorgeous as always.

  19. Arou says:

I bet she’s taking a environment course next year 😛

  20. Lilly says:

I really like Emma Watson, but I wish that she wasn’t modelling for Lancome. It makes me really angry when I hear Lancome talking about an ‘Eco-Friendly’ line when they are notorious for animal testing. L’Oreal is one of the worst companies when it comes to this torture. Google animal testing images if you don’t believe me. There is nothing glamorous about it at all!

    Pretty dress!
