About being nervous about the Yule Ball scene (2005): "I was very nervous to live up to this fairy tale moment that it is for Hermione. It's meant to be a Cinderella sort of transformation and there was quite a lot of pressure for it to be really amazing. I found that all quite overwhelming. As for acting out the romance in it, Stan is such a warm, lovely guy, I felt so comfortable, I wasn't really that nervous about that too much at all. But there was quite a lot of anticipation before we shot the Yule Ball scene that it'd be perfect. So I hope it turned out OK."

Empire Magazine – The Brains

Thanks to Vince for sending in our first scans from Empire Magazine’s ultimate celebration issue. Now we have the text that goes along with that new picture of Emma. Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves says of Emma, “Emma is truly brilliant. Emma was always the one who, we thought, might leave, and I always said that if she left, I would leave.”

Emma does admit to having had doubts about continuing to act. “I got the role when I was so young. You know, it wasn’t something I was looking for; it found me. So there are times when I question, ‘Am I any good? Is this the thing I should be doing?’ Doing theatre at university has really helped: I didn’t know if I’d be able to do it, whether people would let me, whether I’d feel comfortable enough, and I totally do, which is the most wonderful feeling. And I do love Hermione. She’s still kept that bookish, goody two-shoes element, but she’s now much more aware. Being around the boys has definitely changed her. She’s loosened up a bit. She’s a woman now, or she’s becoming a woman.”

Her and many more actresses who live in Hollywood have it much worse with media and paparizzis than male actors it’s not surprising she’s gets so much attention. I feel bad for them sometimes I can’t understand why guys don’t get that lack of pressures to be perfections it’s a double standard but I’ll say one thing Emma still remains strong, independent, and grace and some others are too not just her but thank goodness she’s one of them. I love you Emma, you’re amazing.

I remember the days when we were all wondering whether Emma would continue the series or not, or even continue acting in general. Those fake rumors of her quitting made it even worse. I can’t tell you how glad I was when it was officially announced that Emma would continue playing Hermione, and that she is continuing her acting career. 🙂

Emma Watson is such a brilliant person. And as the author of the magazine feature said, Emma is almost like her character Hermione. I love their being intelligent. I love how Hermione is a “know-it-all” in the HP series. In a society where intelligent women are frowned upon, the know-it-all Hermione is the spice of the scene.
