About Hermione in OotP (2007): "Hermione's starting to battle with herself this time. She's not sure whether she should question people and break rules and go against authority and I think a lot of teenagers can relate to that. We're at an age where you're not really sure whether you're still a kid or not, or whether you're actually old enough to do what you want and make your own decisions."

Emma in Seventeen

Emma Watson has another cover, this time in the August issue of Seventeen. Outtakes from their new photoshoot, quotes from their interview, and a behind the scenes video have been released on their site. The magazine goes on sale July 5.

No Celeb Crushes!
“I’ve never understood having crushes on people who you don’t know in real life. I only crush on people I meet. I mean, I can appreciate that someone is good-looking, obviously, but I don’t intend to fantasize about people I don’t know!”

Fun with Colors
“I try to avoid wearing black because sometimes it’s the easy option. But I’m young, so it’s nice to be able to play with color and not just wear black all the time. I can save that for when I’m older.”

All-Star Athlete
“I dance a lot and I run and do yoga and play field hockey and tennis. I like to be active. I don’t always have time for that stuff, but I do always feel better afterward.”

Backup Plan
“If I hadn’t done Harry Potter, I would have gone and done years of art. I really do love it, and I’d love to write.”

Dorm Life
“Reducing your life down to three pairs of jeans, two skirts, a couple of shirts, and a few pairs of shoes was so nice for me. I really loved living in this tiny room where I didn’t’ have space for anything. It sounds really lame, but it made me feel a lot more free, because I just didn’t have as many choices.”

Friends Forever
“I still have friends from primary school. And my two best girlfriends are from secondary school. I don’t have to explain anything to them. I don’t have to apologize for anything. They know. There’s no judgment in any way.”

World Traveler
“Most of my friends are doing their third year abroad so I might do my third year abroad as well, and then come back for my last year. I hope I could do that.”

Okay this is weird. Or I grew up in an educational environment similar as her, or I’m a freak fan who unconsciously do the same thing as her. I live in a tiny room, I like to play with colors, I don’t have crushes on celebrity ( my girlfriends don’t understand that because they all have one) and I do too many things for the time I have.

Anyway, don’t criticise me, it’s just… I don’t like being THAT freak XD.

Anyway, Emma’s beautiful but I find the light inthe pictures has been done a bit fast. it’s not a very good lighting in fact. The shadows are wrong for her face, as if they wanted to do a 1/2 light type but because of her different poses it hadn’t worked very well.

  2. bonnie says:

I love her hair like this! It’s kinda in the grown out pixie, almost bob stage. I love the photoshoot as well. It’s really nice to see her trying out different personalities and styles for different photoshoots 🙂

  3. Harald says:

Well, I must admit that I do have a crush on a celebrety and have had for a long time…her name is Emma Watson (perhaps somebody knows her).

  4. oks says:

It’s quite interesting when a young girl wears youngish clothes and accesories, she rather looks like an older woman who tries to look like a chic. Maybe this is why these pictures don’t appeal to me at all.

  5. I1 says:

I would say – you can meet some people and still don’t know who they really are. And sometimes you can just look at some eyes and tell everything about thir owner. I thought what I have this feeling about people. Now I just don’t know…

  6. 130671 says:

It might just be the makeup and/or the lighting.
But the first thing that came to my mind was:
Her face is gaining its final definition.

Is it good, is it bad….I don’t know. Looking at her always confuses me.

    weird interview

  8. Tree says:

I love this shoot in some ways.. I love how it’s so bubbly and fun like her but in other ways it screams too young? Or younger than her anyway.

I love the contrast between this and the Vogue cover though, I also agree about the lighting thing? It doesn’t look quite right, but im not exactly a lightening expert soo..

  9. I1 says:

She IS looking f*#%ing perfect!!! Cool interview ))) I am troll.. Arghhh )))

  10. Neutrality says:

    SWEEEEEET!

  11. Marie says:

I don’t know what, but there is something I don’t like.Maybe it’s the Emma looks older than she acts and the Smile on fourth looks a bit strange. But the styling is better than at Vogue (for me)

  12. Raissa says:

Emma aways perfect! Her hair is so long!!!

  13. Danielle says:

I really hope her accent improves for perks….still beautiful 🙂

  14. will says:

i’m not a fashion photograph or fashion person at all so I can’t say anything about lightnig or shadows on her face.. 😀 all I can say is that she is very pretty as always! 🙂

  15. sam says:

The lighting is most likely making her look a bit older and strange I guess…I can’t point it out but there’s something fishy. But seriously she’s only 21, she’s still VERY young. You guys are making her seem like she’s 30. She looks cute and she enjoying it. Relax, every celeb has their good and bad photoshoot moments.

  16. Celia says:

She looks gorgeous! Love it. Very fun shoot.

  17. Lita says:

This has made me love her even more!!!!

  18. Raj says:

    u look so beautiful em.

  19. Birgit says:

Come on guys, she 21. Woman of 21 don’t wear things like that.. I liked Vogue so much better. She looked so grown up and beautiful and sexy. The whole fotoshoot was really artistic. in this one she looks like a really beautiful woman at the bachelor party of her girlfriend and the dresscode was crazy colour.

    • berlin says:

Yeah, some of these clothes ara a little bit too crazy for a 21 year old women 😀

      • Cait says:

Couldnt agree more, no self respecting 21 year old would wear any of those.. shes not 14 anymore! (although i understand seventeen magazine is for a younger audience)

  20. Nicole says:

I love Emma’s hair at that that length and that blue dress she’s wearing in the last 2 photos is gorgeous 🙂 its probably a smart move not to fantasize about people you dont know because its never going to happen i have a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio i know i will probably never meet him,but i can’t help liking him 🙂 xx

  21. emlover says:

    she looks so pretty

  22. Florian says:

This is weird, because in a way I totally agree with her about peoples having crushes on celebrity, I find it rather odd as you don’t really know that person… but on the other hand I do love her… well I think that you just can’t control your feelings.

That said she looks gorgeous in these pictures and I love her haircut!

  23. KS987 says:

Emma is a beautiful, down-to-earth girl. I’m in love with her because she seems like the perfect girl for me based on what I see and what I hear, and if I ever met her I will probably love her even more. :). To be honest, I probably know more about her than some people I have talked with in person.

She’s absolutely adorable in the photoshoot and the video. I find her dancing both cute and sexy at the same time. I’m glad to see her having fun as always.

She says she might study abroad for her third year in university and go back to Brown for her last year. So I guess this means that she is still affiliated with Brown in some way as has been rumored.

  24. Ahmed adel says:

I do not know what is to say the only opinion that I can give that she is so pretty and so beautiful

  25. Nicole says:

As an added comment i think its realy sweet that she wears a diamond ring her mother gave her for her 18th birthday on her baby finger and she has it on all the time, bless her 🙂 xx
