In a new message on her facebook, Emma Watson says that “Filming ‘Bling Ring’ is going great. It’s so amazing to get to play a real character. And I get to be funny! Awesome!”
There have been a number of photos from the Bling Ring set, but most of these are just Emma covered up in a robe. Here is one from March 27 of Emma in costume.
What’s Up with Perks?
We haven’t seen anything new from Perks of Being a Wallflower for some time now. A bunch of stills came out and then nothing since January. Some websites have listed a release date of September 21 but I haven’t seen anything official. So, just a rumor. Isn’t it time for a trailer? Thanks to Ermioni for the tip.

The French magazine Be had an interview with Emma. Some of the highlights of the article are
- Emma says that though she’s flattered to be considered a style icon, she’s more interested in style than in fashion: according to her, even though fashion defines its era, style is more about personality and she feels that personality should prevail.
- She mentions that her style icons are Jane Birkin and her daughters (Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon), as well as Françoise Hardy, a French singer or Stella Tenant.
- She also talks about her need to get involved 100% in everything she does – she says it stems from the fact that she doesn’t consider what she does as “work”. To her, signing up to do a movie or to collaborate with a brand has to do with personal, artistic choices and she would have played in Harry Potter or been the face of Trésor Midnight Rose even without getting paid, because to her it’s about passion.
- Lastly, Emma admits that she felt very intimidated when she was the center of attention at the Trésor Midnight Rose launch event, and that sometimes she feels that she’s shy, sensitive and prone to self-criticism, which can be a receipe for disaster.
That Emma would have done her jobs without getting paid shows her real greatness!
I love Emma, and I’m her biggest fan, and this comment will make someone angry, which is not my intention at all, but I do feel moved to observe that such comments about working without getting paid are much easier to make when you are worth 25 million dollars…..

R.E. Perks of Being a Wallflower
Pre Production and Post-production is the longest process of film-making not so much the actual filming. The editing takes absoloutley ages and then the Director will need to decide whether they need to reshoot anything etc.
Trailers however come out nearer the date of the films release so if it is September the trailer will be released nearer that time and not now.

I loved the small article from the Be magazine. And I also enjoyed looking at the pictures from the article. I find it a bit depressing that we haven’t heard any news from Perks of being a wallflower movie. But maybe we will hear more about it in the future.

Can Emma get any more beautiful? There are some other pictures of her having fun on the set as well. I’m glad that she’s having a blast filming Bling Ring and is enjoying her role.
I do find it strange that we haven’t heard much from Perks of Being a Wallflower. September 21st was posted on IMDB but that site’s not that credible(since they at one point had an entirely different cast for Perks before it was made official), so we’ll have to wait for an official one to be announced.
I honestly think that Emma could write a book, adapt it into a film, AND star in it. She’s already heavily involved in the projects she takes on, both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the future. 🙂
I don’t really see her dancing with a gun in the movie, that’s what one report said, nd I hope she pulls it off cuz she doesn’t wanna tarnish her career by embarrassing herself on national tv and never gettin another role again:(
I think if anything, it will help. Right now, Emma is a bonafide type cast as the goody goody two shoes girl what with her work as Hermione, Pauline and a Princess. Even a Burberry campaign and a lancome front can’t change that. Even if the film doesn’t do well, at least people will see she is willing to do something DIFFERENT. And either way, even if the film crashes and burns, she has Your Voice in My Head confirmed to do with David Yates, and it’s a very interesting, deep character that is written for her, that could potentially make her even more coveted as an actress then she is even now. Add to that The Perks of Being a Wallflower, where she plays the rocky character of Sam and…well: it’s hard not to call her an actress now. If she does well in the rest of those films, even the Bling Ring can’t bring her down (: Hope this helped assuage you.

Emma’s official website has been updated with a new biography on the emma page. The bio included some information about the perks:
‘Emma recently finished playing the American lead role of Sam on Stephen Chbosky’s adaptation of his coming-of-age novel THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. Also directed by Chbosky, this independent drama centres around introverted fifteen year old Charlie (played by Logan Lerman) as he is taken under the older Sam’s wing. The film is due for release later this year.’

You don’t have to agree with or like everything Emma does, or even be a fan, to post here, but obvious trolling is not allowed.
And do you have any proofs in your reply? How do you know Emma’s private life and what she does with it? Whatever Emma does with her life is personal. And we as her fans must respect that. I don’t think I read or saw anywhere in the books, movies or interviews that mentioned Emma is a slut or a hoe. And to tell you the truth, Emma has a great personality and she is a very mature person for her age.
