About the colour of her toothbrush (2005): "Pink!"

Emma Watson, The Make-up Artist

In a recent interview for Glamour UK, Emma discussed her love of make-up. She was quoted saying,“I love doing make-up. I did my mum’s make-up for all her job interviews, and whenever my friends and I go out, I do their make-up too,” Emma even included some advice of her own for readers to enjoy,“I get my eyebrows threaded at Blink in Selfridges or Fenwick. People underestimate the power of an eyebrow. I recently got my friend into pencilling hers in, which she thought was such a strange concept at first.”

The Bling Ring actress also discussed how she often ops for the natural look and likes to keep things simple. She leaves us with some make-up wisdom that appls to girls everywhere,“Don’t listen to everyone. It’s kind of overwhelming, especially with your diet and skincare. You get so many different pieces of advice, you don’t know what to listen to. I think people need to judge what works for them and trust their intuition.”

This is just a snippet of the full article which will be released on June 12th.

Update: I found another great quote from the article! “I love French pharmacies. I’m obsessed – I could spend hours. They take a very medical, pharmaceutical approach to the face. I love the French – less is more look – there’s something very classy about it. It’s so sad when people hide themselves behind too much make-up.” Hearing a little bit more about Emma’s personality and personal life are wonderful! Especially when they come from a reliable source and not just a rumor.

This small piece of article just shows that Emma is a very down to earth person. And that she works very hard to achieve success and become a famous actress. Thus, I didn’t know that Emma loved to do make-up for other people or herself. That was very interesting to read and know. Whatever Emma does and accomplishes, I am supporting her 100% all the way. 🙂

I’m glad she mentioned sensible diet along with sensible make-up. That is something all girls need to take care with, and forget all the anorexia crap. Jennifer Lawrence has already made a big move in that direction by becoming a kind of heroine for sensible and healthy sized girls…in a word, natural. Boys are more attracted to normal looking girls anyway. Too skinny is just totally uncool. Glad to see Emma on the bandwagon. We need more of that from female stars.

The full article is already out, it’s in the current issue of Glamour (with Jennifer Lopez on the cover). It isn’t too much longer than that anyway though.

It’s always great to hear Emma share her personal interests. 🙂 Great articles and interview, even if it’s a bit brief. Hopefully we get longer interviews in the near future. 🙂 Thanks for sharing as always.

I love Emma’s opinions on the whole ‘less is more’ look. Totally agree with that, i also go simple with make-up. And i pencil in my eyebrows,so that’s another thing we have in common!! It’s great to hear Emma’s views on make-up as always 🙂

Did David Yates really pull out of “Your Voice in My Head”? I’m hoping that’s merely a rumour, because production might stall.
