About fast fashion and Fair Trade (2010): "It's important to differentiate between fast fashion which is made very quickly for a very small price and Fair Trade fashion. Which means that if you buy a t-shirt which costs £2-3, you just have to do the math and work out how much the person who made it is being paid? So, Fair Trade fashion is still reasonably priced but allows the person who made it to earn a decent living and to be able to feed and take care of their families. It gives them enough money to live with dignity. I'm not saying that everything I wear will be Fair Trade from now on or that I'm an organic purist, it's just a great option and one I always try to make if available. I just try to ask more questions about where the garment comes from. I want to make good choices. I just think it's good to have Fair Trade fashion in the high street."

Perks of Being a Wallflower Release Date

Summit Entertainment has announced that Perks of Being a Wallflower will open September 14, 2012 in a limited release. Directed by Stephen Chbosky, author of the book by the same name, the movie stars Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Mae Whitman, Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott, Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd. The first trailer for the film will debut during the MTV Movie Awards on June 3.

Emma will be presenting at this year’s MTV Movie Awards along with Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. And she is nominated for three awards this year, including Best Female Performance, Best Cast, and Best Kiss with Rupert Grint for her work in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Voting is open through June 2.

    Nice! The only thing is it probably won’t be in most theatres. Is it only in a few ones? Does that mean most will have to wait until the movie comes out on DVD?

      Yes, limited release means a small number of theatres. But it may open in wider release after a few weeks. That’s what happend with My Week With Marilyn.

    I am really looking forward to buying this movie on DVD when it comes out in stores. Personally I think it is much better to see it on DVD rather then in theaters (but that is just my opinion). Nevertheless, I hope Emma wins all those awards at the show, if not at least some of them (like maybe 1 or 2 awards). I will keep my fingers crossed.

    So now we’ve gotten the release date and the upcoming trailer. I wish it had a much bigger release, though it might expand to other theaters afterwards. Either way I can’t wait to see Perks and Emma’s performance as Sam. 🙂 She’s beautiful in that brief clip. I love that look on her face. 🙂
