About David Yates directing OotP (2007): "He was perfect for this. I don't know if he could have directed any of the other ones. This was his story to tell. He's quiet, thoughtful, sensitive. Mike (Newell, director of Goblet of Fire) would sit in his chair and yell at us, or stand up and just be very loud and British. Whereas David will think for a bit, he'll come over, speak a few words, keep it to a minimum. The thing that always comes up with David is finding truth in the characters, truth in the performance, make it real."

New Emma Facebook Post

Emma has posted a nice little quote and picture on her Facbook page. Both of her recent posts have included pictures specifically from Harry Potter. Perhaps Emma is feeling sentimental. She wrote,“Harry Potter’s like Santa Claus. Something you can’t see but wish was real so badly that you end up believing in it.”

Emma Watson: “It’s challenging to see what the next 10 years of my life will be like!”

    🙂

I like how Emma uses the example from Santa Claus do describe Harry Potter. And I totally agree with it, Harry Potter is a fiction book, something that doesn’t exist but you still tend to believe in it anyways. And by the way, I love how Emma looks in the picture. She is very beautiful.

photo of the day made me lol.

  5. Arielle says:

I’m so glad to see she’s feeling nostalgic. We’re in the same boat, Emma!

  6. Jonny Carinthia says:

I don’t think, that she is sentimental. It’s just not her, writing. Because she has no time for actual postings, so why should she take time to post old pictures out somewhere from a archive and searches for quotes, she did years ago. Nobody can tell me, that she has all her quotes in mind. Remember: in a few days time she is at the MTV-awards? What about her feelings to that? I personally want to know from her what’s going on NOW, not old stuff I have allready in MY archive.

If you would like to see an update on how she feels about the MTV awards scroll down. On the post below I posted her most recent tweet. She mentioned her feelings about the awards.

      • Jonny Carinthia says:

@Arie: Thank’s for that, but I want it to hear it from HER on one of the SOCIAL MEDIA, she is in….. It cannot took more time to write two sentences about her “status” then write a old quote…..

        • Arie says:

Well we can’t post what isn’t there. These are the updates straight from her. If you have suggestions please post them on the suggestion thread in the forum. Jo, from Watson official, is still taking suggestions.

          • Jonny Carinthia says:

Sorry, I didn’t want to blame YOU for something…. I will write a comment to “jo”.

  7. Emily says:

    haha! nice quote!

  8. Nicole says:

Another true statement from Emma 🙂 couldn’t agree more with it.What a great comparison.

  9. Estelle says:

    very true Emma.

  10. Shannon M. says:

Jonny C…You’re probably right, but man…What a fun-sucker! Just kidding. I think we are all missing the anxious anticipation that came over us, as we waited for the next HP to be released. It wouldn’t surprise me if she just missed it all.

    • Jonny Carinthia says:

@shannon: I want to see her as a real actress in real movies. Hermione was yesterday, now she should go fo the real stuff. God, this girl has talent, beauty, cleverness, style and wit. But, as Ron said once: “She needs to sort out her priorities!” 🙂 I think it is not her style to be chatty at FB or twitter, so maybe she should leave and concentrate on her homepage. Better high quality content on her hp then old pics and old quotes in fb, postet by one of her aids……

      • Joyce says:

Actually, I think Hermione is something that will always be a part of her whether fans like it or not. She will always be “The Harry Potter Girl” and I don’t mean to say she will always be labled as Hermione, and that she won’t ever do anything else, but that Hermione is as present as The Bling Ring, or Perks or End of the World. Hermione is what gave the oppertunity for you to know her as “talent, beauty, cleverness, style and wit.” Don’t disregard it.
And I won’t cling to it either. But I feel it should still be there and noted on the side.

        • Jonny Carinthia says:

Well, I think beeing Hermione or “the Potter girl” is more a problem for Emma then for her fans…. Besides all that, I still believe, that she IS Hermione (sorry Emma)…..

          • Joyce says:

I see what you mean by problem. I don’t think so, though. I think it’s just going to be what she’s most famous for, in the end. Other things will come close, but I think in the end, when she’s doing an interview, Harry Potter will inevitably be one of the things she’s introduced with. but overall, I think her talent will be noted seperately from it.
