About shooting the Half-Blood Prince (2009): "The most challenging aspect of this film was the fact that I was trying to take my A-levels at the same time I was filming. So my life was crazy. One minute I was on set, and the next minute I was doing an exam, or reading a textbook, or doing something, so I was a bit all over the place. Sometimes it's kind of hard to juggle both aspects of my life."

Yay…I’m gonna see it. Just need to find a babysitter and a way to sneak out of the house for 2 hours. 🙂

I don’t think I would personally consider less than 1,000 theatres a wide release…especially since I have 4 movie theatres between me and the closest release.

It opened in 726 theaters in the US today, but I think it will expand to 100-200 more next week, if it performs well. However, I do not think it will get much bigger than that. It should have a long run though, because of word or mouth and repeat views.

600 screens is considered wide release.

Ohhhhh my! The kissing scene: yet another reason to daydream of being Emma Watson’s co-star. She’s amazing!

    • KS987 says:

Indeed. Every time I see Emma in a kissing scene it really makes me wish I was an actor so that I would have been the one kissing her instead. We’ll have to get used to it though, since she’s most likely going to have one in almost every movie she’s in from now on. 😛

I had to travel to the next town to see it a 45 minute drive but it was well worth it. I laughed, I cried, it was the best movie ever. I was not disappointed. Emma was Great, she showed excellent range. Logan was Greathe made me cry. Ezra was Great, he brought it hard. LOVED IT!

  10. Tia says:

I’ve seen the film twice now. (its perkfection) and the previews STILL make me cry!

  11. Joyce says:

I too have a theatre five minutes drive away from me, and had to get out of my actual area to see it. But it was well worth it. One of the best movies ever, it totally did the book justice! And Emma was fantastic.

It appears that the movie will make it to the #10 spot at the box office. The US weekend estimate for Oct 12-14 is $2,166,000 (726/$2,983) for a total of $6,151,000. The actual totals comes out Monday. 😀

  13. 130671 says:

How Emma could ever convincingly be a “wallflower” escapes me though….

  14. Sparkle says:

Let everyone know to see this movie. It is a very good movie. Do not be misled by the trailer, it is not just for people in their teens or twenties. This is not a happy-go-luck teen movie or chick-flick. There are not only comedic parts, but there is also dramatic parts as well. Everyone that is able should see this movie. 🙂

  16. Celia says:

Saw it!!!! Loved it!!! Amazing movie!!!!

  17. tabitoo says:

Saw it Friday night and I hope I’ll get to see it again in the next week or so. I have a feeling that this movie is going to have a long run and it’ll probably be a while before it’s out on DVD. It’s as good if not better than everyone is saying it is. Cult Classic absolutely. 🙂
