About acting (2009):"I had been doubting if I wanted to act for the rest of my life. The reason is because I was only nine when I started. They went to my school, and they picked me. I auditioned and I got the role. I never went to acting school, I didn't know I wanted to be an actress. It's amazing, but just because it happened doesn't mean that it's the right fit for me. It took me awhile to decide what to do. And now I think it is. I come from a family of lawyers and academics, we didn't watch movies in my house. I didn't know who Gary Oldman or Maggie Smith were. So I educated myself watching thousands of movies. Now I'm passionate about it."

January Calendar Competition

The January Calendar Competition is now open. Who will be our first winner of the new year?

  • The size of the calendar should be at least 1024×768. Higher resolutions are good. Widescreen is also allowed.
  • Calendars must be in a common graphics format such as jpg, tiff, gif or png.
  • It must have Emma-Watson.net and January and it should have the dates. It should be mostly original work, and images used should be respectful of Emma’s privacy.
  • The deadline to submit calendars is December 28.
  • No more than 3 entries per person please. Please send entries to emmawatson.graphics@gmail.com

    I am not satisfied with ur decision of calender compitition u r selecting wrong decision. u r not undurstanding creativitis u select wrong winner on last december calender i am not satisfied with that….

      Just to be clear, the calendar is selected by the fans who vote, not me. I don’t even vote since I know who made the calendars.
      No, the most creative calendar doesn’t always win. I don’t always agree with the winning choice, but it is the one liked by the people who took the time to vote.

      Besides who are you to question the decision of a calendar? You can always give some advice, but stating that the choice is wrong just because it wasn’t yours is immature. The winning calendar is classy, well worked, simple and that’s what makes it beautiful, and that’s why was the selected winner.

      Blaming Dook is wrong in every way, salman. It’s a competition that kids vote in, and who gets most votes wins cal of the month, I never complain that my calendars don’t win for example(I did once last year).

    Not because your calendar wasn’t selected, means that there’s something wrong with the decision of the winner and the honorable mentions. You can always try again, maybe you’ll win this month.
