Emma Watson has been appointed to the board of directors for fashion giant Kering. In addition she has been named as Chair of their Sustainability Committee. Emma has promoted sustainable fashion for years beginning with her People Tree collection in 2009 and will now be in a good position to influence fashion trends of the future. The Kering Group owns fashion houses Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen and Brioni.
About school and learning (2007): "People can't understand why I don't want to be a full-time actress, but school life keeps me in touch with my friends. It keeps me in touch with reality. It makes me feel normal. Let's be honest: I have enough money never to have to work again, but I would never want that. Learning keeps me motivated."
