About liking school (2007): "I know that sounds strange, but when you are filming you never quite know what you are going to be doing each day. You are pulled from place to place and the schedules change. So I really enjoyed the feeling that I was back at school. I wanted to take responsibility for my education instead of being pushed along by it."

Emma in 8 Days, Elle Interviews

Emma Watson covered the July issue of 8 Days magazine from Singapore. Unseen images from Emma’s shoot with Mariano Vivanco accompanied the interview. Scans courtesy of youmustbemrweasely.

We now have scans of the text from Elle Canada and Elle UK November issues, thanks to IHW.

    LOVELY!

  2. Lea says:

There’s also a new still of Emma as Lucy in My Week With Marilyn, but I forgot where I found it. And here’s a new video about J.K. and Emma, creating Hermione’s character, thought it might be interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqTjGejCqxc&feature=player_embedded

Great scans from Mariano Vivanco, from the UK and Canada as well. I especially like the Elle Canada scans.

These interviews…I’m sorry. You read one, you read all. They all portray Emma in the same way:
“Emma Watson, on the brink of adulthood, post potter roles, her sleek pixie cut and strong slanted eyebrows, attending oxford/brown university with millions in the bank…”
Please. The VOGUE US interview was fantastic. They went beyond Emmas beauty, and into her intellect, and how hard it actually is for her. Beautiful spreads for the 8 days, and Elle Canada, though.

I think they messed up on the second to the last 8 DAYS one. If u look at the pics of her growing up, the 14 is over the pic of her from the fifth movie, and yet, the yule ball dress pose was fifteen, wasn’t the yule ball in the fourth movie?

    • dook says:

Sami, yes, the Yule Ball was in the Goblet of Fire. I think the 14 and 17 photos are both from the photoshoot for Order of the Phoenix.

  8. KS987 says:

Thanks for the scans. Great interviews. Much of it felt familiar but other quotes were new to me. The press asking Emma the same questions is nothing new and probably won’t change. She looks gorgeous in the pictures. 🙂
