Beauty and the Beast Press Tour Starts in Paris

In the cover story Emma talks about how she wanted to update the backstory of Belle, her character in her upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast. The issue is on sale now. In the clips below, Emma talks about Belle’s backstory and whether she has Stockholm syndrome, how Hermione changed things for women, and she answers some questions from kids. New Trailer for The Circle
Sunday, February 12th, 2017A new trailer for James Ponsoldt’s The Circle has been released. “Based on the international best-seller by Dave Eggers, The Circle is a thrilling modern morality tale starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, and John Boyega. As she rises through the ranks of the world’s largest tech and social media company, The Circle, Mae (Watson) is encouraged by company founder Eamon Bailey (Hanks) to live her life with complete transparency. But no one is really safe when everyone is watching.”
Ponsoldt talks about the the focus of the film, and working with Emma in Entertainment Weekly, “I think the central issues are about privacy and surveillance and not just the gadgets in the movie. At the end of the day, as a filmgoer you have to find yourself engaged with the hopes and dreams and fears and anxieties of the main character and then, and only then, will you go to crazy places with them. If you don’t connect with them, if you don’t care about them, it’s all a moot point. We were really, really lucky to get Emma Watson, who’s just a brilliant human being and she’s kind of a hero to a lot of people and justifiably so. She stands for a lot. She’s a deep thinker, she’s a challenging thinker, and she’s a really great partner in the film.” and in a Reddit Q&A session “Working with Emma and Tom (Hanks) was a dream come true. They’re both smart, passionate, and incredibly generous. I’m also just a big fan of both of them (I think I’ve seen every film they’ve each made!).”
The Circle will be in theaters on April 28th, 2017.
